MJl - I agree. You would think a guy who is permanently high would be mello.
TDub - I believe the league determined that Rondo instigated the incident with Paul by spitting in his face. Difficult to tell for sure but it appears he did. If so, then I agree with the league's decision.

In other news, Trae Young with 35 points and 11 assists last night.

McLemore played 3 minutes, went 0-1, and had an assist.
For some unknown reason Mason dnp-cd after scoring 18 and having 6 assists in his previous game.

Anyone notice that the Nuggets are 3-0, the Thunder are 0-3, the Phoenix Suns are currently the 6th seed in the West, and the 1-2 Rockets and 0-2 Lakers are currently not top 8 playoff seeds and are lottery teams?

Agree. You don't stand there....but I would probably come up with something better than finger poking their face, because that resulted in a left jab to the face. CP3 is a pussy.

CP3 responded like a typically NBA player. Very few really want to fight (rondo is 1 who will fight, oubre has earned his way to that category too). CP3 wanted to finger poke rondo and talk shit, but rondo had other plans.

in CP3's defense. he didn't finger poke until he was spit on (in his face) and he didn't swing until swung on. so I get why he had a lighter suspension.

Rondo both spit in another players face and was the first to start throwing punches. I get why he got the longest suspension

Rondo plays his own game. No doubt he was looking for a fight. The game was getting officiated loose and very physical - fun to watch without touch fouls. They hate each other, although leaner, I would pick Rondo in a fight. The little crazy factor. It is always a puss move to spit on anyone. Can’t wait to see them play again. Rondo is the type to hold a grudge for 30 years. Paul is the better player but who is better in the playoffs? Playoff Rondo is hard to beat.

Here’s the relevant details per the NBA’s release.

"Ingram has been suspended for aggressively returning to and escalating the altercation and throwing a punch in the direction of Paul, confronting a game official in a hostile manner, and instigating the overall incident by shoving Rockets guard James Harden. Rondo has been suspended for instigating a physical altercation with, and spitting and throwing multiple punches at, Paul. Paul has been suspended for poking at and making contact with the face of Rondo, and throwing multiple punches at him".

Devonte and Svi made their NBA debuts last night.
They weren't such good ones. At least not In terms of scoring and W/L. Neither scored a point and neither's team won the game.

I'll look for the video, but there is an angle that when slowed down in HD you can actually see rondo "blow" spit into his face. It's not a full on spit like I imagined, but it happened enough that CP3 had reason to react.

Also funny video of Shannon Sharpe making fun of CP3 for not doing more than what he did.
