4 years of shit drafts have long caught up.
Might have something with Lock. KC metro kid.

Mahomes is awesome for the NFL, and Chiefs have been proven smart to have gotten him where they did.

The fact that he's playing in the 4th quarter of a blowout victory is comical to me.
Starting WBs play the whole game. Brady plays to the end. Is Belichick a clown?

Pats about to get boat races. Their offense stinks big time.

Patriots are looking vulnerable right now. The season of adjustments begins.

Now fans are gonna think he's the second coming of Hunt. Can't understand the difference between playing when the game is over and playing when the outcome is still in doubt.
Watching him play in preseason, he is special in space. Great complementary back. Vaulted a guy too. Be interesting to see if Reid uses him more. Kind of a surprise waiting for someone on a wheel route as he is a hair faster than Hunt.

Watching the Texans destroy the Pats on national TV makes me believe the Chiefs are going to see a angry and focused Pats team next week.

Haven’t they been an angry and focused team for 3 weeks now? After the Ravens destroyed them, they’ve scored 17, 13 and 15 and haven’t looked good doing it.

Being angry and focused can't cure being washed.

Do the Chiefs win with the (very weird) C- they've been getting from Mahomes lately? No. But the Pats have cracked the door for the Chiefs to get the #2 spot, so I'd expect there won't be any shortage of motivation.

Patriots are bereft of talent at offensive skills positions for first time in, well, forever? That said, the Chiefs D generally struggles.

And answering if Belicheck is a a clown for playing Brady in blowout wins in the 4th, I believe the answer is yes. The entire league is antiquated in that regard. It’s just the mindset, and I find it comical.

Not really.
Even with a win, the Chiefs are a game back, with the Pats at the Bengals, home to the Bills and Dolphins.
I can't buy the Bills beating the Pats in New England.

Yeah, honestly the Chiefs have a better chance at passing the Ravens.

Ravens remaining schedule is @ Bills, Jets, @ Browns, Steelers.

Not easy games by any means, but not pushovers like the Bengals and the Dolphins.

Possible/imaginable losses: Bal @ Bills, Steelers. NE vs. Chiefs, Bills.

Chiefs, should win out with relative certainty, minus this weekend's challenge.

I'd have a slight bit of anxiousness regarding this scenario if I was a Chief's fan.

Being busted up and dropping close games v Colts, Titans and Texans cost us AFC homefield.

But even then... Chiefs won't get that bye. They really need a 3 seed though. Get the 6 seed and then the 2 which is looking like it's going to be the Patriots at this point.

Exactly. That Titans loss is especially awful.

Scenario I painted would get Chiefs homefield. Will have won h-2-h against both teams, all would have same record.

The tiebreakers are a little convoluted, though, so lemme go run the playoff machine to make sure my logic is right.

Yeah, it's right, but it forgets that Buffalo needs to lose a game in there somewhere. And Houston.

Going to Baltimore for the AFC championship seems very, very daunting (and likely).
