UNC completely fell apart when Bacot went down. Absolutely no front court besides him. And they stopped defending when things got rough.jfish26 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2019 1:07 am What in the hell?

Re: NCAA 19-20
Roy started putting in walk-ons with like 8 minutes to go or something like that. Truly bizarre.
Roy knows these games don't mean much. They'll make the tournament as a 3 seed or something like that. And be full strength and ready to go.

Not bizarre for the showman. 5 new substitutions and a sports coat throw. The keeds heard the message!NewtonHawk11 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2019 9:52 am Roy started putting in walk-ons with like 8 minutes to go or something like that. Truly bizarre.

UK-UMich doing a game next season in London.
I wouldn't hate doing something like that.

If there was ever a year for KU to win it all because of the overall parity in CBB this would be the year.

And we are the most complete team along with a healthy Sparty.holidaysmore wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2019 11:19 am If there was ever a year for KU to win it all because of the overall parity in CBB this would be the year.

That's a big trip for two hours. It'd have to be a Maui-type schedule (and slate) to justify it for me.CrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2019 11:14 am UK-UMich doing a game next season in London.

I look at it as one of only a few ways to get me there. Not much interest otherwise--too many places to see.jfish26 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2019 11:36 amThat's a big trip for two hours. Re: NCAA 19-20
I don't think a healthy Sparty gets there. I think they struggle on offense and defense. Duke destroyed them down low. Winston hasn't been up to par (Always thought he was fairly overrated anyway) I know they are missing a key piece, but they have struggled big time.CrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2019 11:23 amAnd we are the most complete team along with a healthy Sparty.holidaysmore wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2019 11:19 am If there was ever a year for KU to win it all because of the overall parity in CBB this would be the year.

Winston’s brother was murdered a few weeks ago. That may be weighing on him some.
HCTI will have them ready for March. Don’t worry about that.

Re: NCAA 19-20
Izzo in March is overrated. Last year they made Final 4, which is great. But there hasn't been a program like Michigan State that has lost games in the 1st and 2nd rounds like Izzo's Spartans have. Especially being a high 2 or 3 seed.

Re: NCAA 19-20
Man, it feels like it'd take quite a string of bad outs to make this the case. Eight final fours for Izzo. A long stretch where every four-year guy went to at least one.NewtonHawk11 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2019 11:59 amIzzo in March is overrated. Last year they made Final 4, which is great. Seems like sparty has done alright in the month of March under HCTI. Maybe not.
How many FFs does izzo have?

K and Duke seem to have the most early bow outs as a high seed.NewtonHawk11 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2019 11:59 amIzzo in March is overrated. Last year they made Final 4, which is great. As for Sparty, it just seems their ceiling is as high as ours. Maybe only Kentucky could say the same thing. I just really like our team.

Re: NCAA 19-20
When people like to say January, February, Izzo it just doesn't make since to me. Could to others, but not me.
He's a damn good coach. But he's not Mr. March like many say. 3 of those Final 4's were in the first 6 years. 5 in 18 years since. Great to have that, but he's also lost in the round of 64 or 32 8 times in those 18 years since. That's a really high number for a great March coach. (Self has had 5 and Coach K 5 in same time frame) Consistency is not there to be considered a great coach in March.

5 FF's in 18 is really good, though.
I would guess only Roy could match. Maybe K.

As I looked just now. In last 18 years. Spartans out in first weekend 8 times. Duke 5 times. Self/KU 6 times.CrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2019 12:08 pmK and Duke seem to have the most early bow outs as a high seed.NewtonHawk11 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2019 11:59 amIzzo in March is overrated.
