This is not a criminal court case and since we actually had to go through the process of determining that no one would ever charge a sitting president with a criminal charge, then why would that even matter?
We might not waste taxpayer money on Kabuki theater?
Let's waste it on round the clock campaign rally's instead?
Or a thousand rounds of golf.

Of course, implicit in all of this is the idea that the case against Trump is pretty strong, but that Schiff was too incompetent and hacktastical to make it stick, which, I think is the same as saying something about the trains running on time. cUz tRumP!
Again, what is it that you think Schiff could have done different that would have resulted in all of these spineless Republicans growing a spine?
It's hard to imagine anyone handling the whistle blower worse than Schiff did. A reg. Dem. who worked closely with Biden, whose lawyers had been agitating for "the Resistance" since inauguration day and with whom Schiff met with in secret, and then pretended later he didn't even know his name, etc. etc. And then, as it turned out, the whistle blower didn't fucking matter at all. He was totally irrelevant.
Schiff set the narrative, practically inviting Trump supporters to see it as a partisan crusade. And the witnesses who did the damage were ALL part of the Trump administration.

Add in the fact that he fucked up the process, that he didn't get Bolton to testify, that he's the chairman of the wrong fucking committee, and I think it's pretty clear that he took the lead purposefully and pissed down his leg.

If he had been less concerned about getting on TV and more concerned about building a case, he would have kept his stupid mouth shut until he could get Bolton to come in and testify behind closed doors. And an impeachment based, first and foremost, on Bolton's testimony would be a much different story.

What a crock of shit.

The executive branch obstructs justice on a scale never seen before in our nation's history with the active assistance of the DOJ, but it's Adam Schiff's fault that republicans are too afraid of Trump and too tribal to put our county over their own political ambitions?

Brilliant

Oh, and even tho it has taken 8 months, so far, to try to compel former white house lawyer Don McGahn to respond to a subpoena, which has yet to be appealed to the SCOTUS, we're supposed to blame Schiff for not waiting to impeach Trump until he's finished the process of compelling Bolton to testify?

Sounds reasonable.

But seriously. You should stick with Schiff.

Also, Bolton likely would have met with the committee voluntarily, if the circus hadn't already come to town.

But, again, Schiff, Schiff, he's your man!

Oh, darn you Adam Schiff! You so lame! If only you'd handled this differently, and put your faith in the "Law & Order Party!!!!" coming around, republicans would have abandoned Trump like rats from the ship of state!

Adam! Why you not trust republicans to do right thing?

The whistleblower led to the entire inquiry beginning. So I'd hardly call that "totally irrelevant".

And thinking that Schiff could "get" Bolton to testify is hilarious. There is no one but a federal judge who will accomplish tr hat and even that can be drug out in court until the Dems decide to move on without it.

I watched a portion of the committee hearings that Schiff chaired and he looked and sounded very judicial and wouldn't let the Republicans interrupt constantly and whine endlessly. Compare that to Nadler, who banged his gavel constantly and still couldn't shut them up. I've never been in a courtroom where a judge even had a gavel on his bench, because it's all about presence and not ever losing control--or so I've been told.

If I were a Republican, Schiff would make me very nervous, as he's the opposite of Trump and that band of weirdos on the committee that are his defenders. But maybe next DC will offer us his defense of Matt Gaetz and how Hank Johnson was so mean in pointing out that he's a drunk.

So Johnson was wrong and Gaetz isn't a drunk?

One whose daddy got the cop who stopped him for DUI fired so that when Matt came to court there would be no one to testify against him.

And yet, it comes as no surprise to anyone that the only person who brought up race, is you.

I think there's a word for that.
