Chiefs can beat teams passing 80% of the time. Running the ball doesn't mean as much to them.

Air Reid offense baby! :)

But in all seriousness, the best running the game the Chiefs has is quick passes to the flat to WR and let them do their thing. They can't run between the tackles. They shouldn't run between the tackles.

But I agree in that we haven't seen anything too crazy from the Chiefs in regards to motions and plays. Last year the first game against the Chargers, they did that motion toss thing to Hill and DeAnthony Thomas that had LA all confused, they ran fullback wheel routes for TDs and everything in between. This year we haven't seen anything like that. Not even close.

I expect Andy is saving some stuff for January.

I agree. They can pick up big chunks in the running game in the middle of the field, with things spread out and the defense having to guard everything from the flats to the back of the end zone 40-70 yards away.

What they cannot do is run when the field is compressed and they have to win one on one. In those scenarios, you simply have to play to your strengths, which start with Pat.

Really, no team generally is running well between the tackles unless it has a running qb. The Chiefs actually block pretty well, but teams plug the gaps hoping to stuff the run and only have to slow Mahomes twice to force a punt/fg. It is the red zone elephant in the room. The Chiefs wasted several first down plays running into a gap leveraged front this season. 2nd and 12 or more is manna from heaven to a team beaten back inside their own 20.

Great trade KC.
That said, somehow Frank Clark makes a Pro bowl with maybe four good games.

Such attrition of good backs. Weird that Hyde and Peterson seem to be stat leaders now. And freakish Henry.

Zeke. Chubb. The Raiders rook Jacobs. Chris Carson.

Chiefs probably should have kept Hyde if nothing for punching it in at the goal line.

I don't think the inability to punch it in at the goal line has anything to do with the running backs.

The interior OL of KC stinks. That's why they can't punch it in.

Henry’s success comes in part bc of Titans game plan. Truly do pound pound pound. 3rd quarter splits are ridiculous compared to other quarters. Combination of game plan and halftime adjustments lead to progressive success. Curiously, 4th qtr has lowest APC.

Still don’t think Titans make playoffs, but hopeful nonetheless. Like the challenge of last 3 games being so tough. Oh the what if’s of had they benched Mariota after 4 games though.

so if Dak Prescott is throwing but can’t throw with “velocity or distance,” how the eff is he supposed to be an effective starting qb tomorrow?

Love me some NFL Football games on a Saturday - that matter - in terms of playoff seeding.
Bonus is lesser tier Bowl games on the same Saturday - that matter - if you wagered on them.

My worthless NFL predictions for this weekend (and Monday).

Texans 27 Buccs 28
Bills 24 Patriots 20
Rams 23 49ers 31
Chiefs 34 Bears 20
Jags 20 Falcons 30
Ravens 30 Browns 23
Saints 30 Tits 23
Panthers 20 Colts 23
Bengals 20 Dolphins 23
Steelers 24 Jets 23
Giants 23 Redskins 24
Lions 24 Broncos 23
Raiders 24 Chargers 23
Cowboys 24 Eagles 23
Cardinals 10 Seahawks 34
Packers 23 Vikings 24

Hicks definitely out for the Bears tonight. Don't think it's a game changer by any means but it no doubt helps the Chiefs and hurts the Bears.

Ok Chiefs, beat the Bears so Houston has nothing to play for next week.

Houston has tiebreaker over KC. So KC could win tonight but lose next week and Houston wins, Houston gets 3 seed.

Yeah my Titan fan mind couldn’t uncheck Titans winning next weekend for some reason.

If I were a Chiefs fan, I’d rather play Tenn, Pitt, Indy, or Oak than Buffalo.

So, 3 vs 4 does matter
