HD - You may be smarter than Warren but I (meaning me - Grandma) surely wouldn't bet on it.
I am pretty sure she is a lot more intelligent than you give her credit for being.
I admit I did not understand the AOC reference. I just figured you were being condescending.
Being a "community organizer" may or may not be a "real job" but I tend to have a shit ton more respect for those who legitimately want to - and actually - do good for their community than I do for those who ridicule them for no other good reason than they feel superior to those people in some manner.
Like I said, Rudy (and many Pubs) felt the need to make fun of Obama for being a community organizer - and then I asked how that worked out for them. Seems not too good.
I'll be 100% open and honest by saying I was leaning towards McCain and Rudy's smug face actually had an affect on me. Not saying it was THEE difference maker but it was A difference maker.

Thanks for demonstrating once again what the supporters of Trump have most in common--dislike and disdain for women.HouseDivided wrote: ↑Fri Dec 20, 2019 10:43 pmBecause this is all kabuki theater with no legal or Constitutional merit, and both sides know it.
The Dems are throwing a temper tantrum that began three years ago when Dowdy didn’t win, and this is the best retribution they could come up with. They’d be embarrassed if they had any self awareness, but when you realize the are represented by Mensa candidates like Fauxcahontas and The Waitress, you are forced to lower the bar considerably.
I can’t wait to see the reaction when Trump wins in 2020.

This is tangential, but regarding AOC, there are a hell of a lot more waitresses in this country than there are Wall Street bankers. Why shouldn’t they get proportionate representation in our democracy?HouseDivided wrote: ↑Fri Dec 20, 2019 10:43 pmBecause this is all kabuki theater with no legal or Constitutional merit, and both sides know it.

I hate to break it to you but there were probably 30 million women who voted for Trump in 2016. Not all of them have "dislike and disdain" for women. My guess is of the 30 million or so men who voted for Trump - most of them don't have "dislike and disdain" for women either.
It has to be terrible to feel and believe that so many people are misogynistic.
Yes, too many people are - but most are not. You come off as believing most men are misogynistic.
I simply don't believe that to be true.

You know I was responding to a question about why the GOP didn't care about Hunter Biden in 2014, right?Mjl wrote: ↑Fri Dec 20, 2019 11:23 pmThose are completely irrelevant in regards to the impeachment case. A few FBI agents passive-aggressively acting to investigate Trump has nothing to do with using tax dollars to leverage a bribe to help his political campaign.DCHawk1 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 20, 2019 8:15 pm
The GOP didn't know or understand the relevance until it/Mueller/Nunes (whose memo was right, BTW. Leave your apologies anywhere you want)/Horowotz, etc. started drilling down into the origins of the Russia probe.
The real question you should be asking is why didn't anybody in the Democratic Party care. Evar.

Yet more evidence what a gargantuan mistake it is for Speaker Pelosi not to have sent the Articles of Impeachment to the senate ASAP:

I was actually thinking of the % of Republican votes whose view are aligned with Psych's and it seems far higher than we would have thought prior to 2016. Perhaps some of the Republicans who voted for Trump don't have the vitriolic hatred for women that Psych routinely expresses here, but they voted for a man who like Psych let it be known that he was a Pussy Grabber and had bragged about being in control of teenage girls so as to see them in states of undress.Grandma wrote: ↑Sat Dec 21, 2019 10:31 am

Trump was also by far the most misogynist of all the GOP candidates, but 72 million people voted for other candidates, so a huge number of men chose not to vote for outspoken misogyny. That includes some who voted 3rd Party and some didn't vote top of the ticket at all, but we don't have those numbers. As I stated, I really was thinking of those in the Republican base whose attitudes toward women reflect the hatefulness of Psych, but you perhaps have to take the 30 million at their vote, as they knew exactly who Trump was and could have voted for another or not voted. I believe that some on this forum have stated that even though they're Republicans, they voted for neither Trump nor Clinton.
What I do believe is true is that men who grew up in the middle of the country and attended universities like our alma mater are far less misogynist than those from others areas, as they have lived with a less tradition that has been less sexist over decades and generations.

Pretty small sample size to be making pretty damning generic decisions about peoples character.
I can assume then, because you hate trump and psych, that you are a man hater.

Oops, part of my sentence got cut off, should have read:
Just stop enabling and supporting Psych in his vitriolic hatred of women and then I'll consider your request.
I hate one person for their political behavior and it's neither Trump or Psych.
I just tire of Psych using KU sports forums to express his animosity toward women. He seems to dislike our players and having sat amongst the athletes in a long ago football season, I don't find that particularly tolerable, either.

My thought is that you can have the best argument around but when you have to throw in the "and you hate women!" bit with it in every other post it cheapens your whole argument.
Also, I havent counted, but it seems to me you are the person to bring up the fact that the person in question is a woman more often than not.
