That total includes an estimated $78.8 million total from Friday through Sunday, a 56% drop from the film’s $177 million opening. Overall, “Skywalker” is currently estimated for a $368.6 million total. By comparison, “The Last Jedi” earned $395 million domestically through its first 11 days in theaters, including a Christmas Day which fell on a Monday.

Saw it again yesterday because Mrs Mjl wanted to see it while we had free babysitters. Liked it way better. Didn't get caught up by the things in the overall story that bothered me so much the first time and enjoyed it as a fun, exhilarating adventure flick and caught a lot of things I didn't the first time.

I still am really bothered by the fact that having Ben and Annakin with Leia and Luke in that last scene would have been a spine-tingling conclusion and JJ didn't do it.

Finally able to catch this. Fun movie.

It was a no win situation for Abrams. There's 40 years of wishful thinking that's all over the map. It would be impossible to make a movie that would satisfy fans.

Movie was 3 hours of pretty much non-stop entertainment that wrapped up a 9 movie story that has been something I've been aware of my entire life. Overall it's pretty satisfying.

I don't have any major criticisms about episode 9 on it's own, or even in the context of the saga (not saying it's perfect or that I wouldn't have changed things, but that's just subjective stuff).

My issue with the final 3 episodes is that they weren't planned out in advance. That there wasn't a clear direction for all this to go in. Even if there wasn't Disney should have acted like there was, because everything is now being referred to as "walking back" what Rian Johnson did instead of just being viewed as twists and turns.

I liked the Disney saga a lot better than the prequels.

Also a big thumbs up for Rogue One. These are supposed to be fun blockbusters and they were.

Definitely.

I watched the first 8 episodes before watching RoS, the prequels don't even seem like part of the same story. They look out of place, they are not nearly as good, they just don't fit.

Say whatever you want about 7, 8, and 9, but they're all better than the prequels.

My criticisms of Disney are more PR related than they are about the movies themselves. People are looking for reasons to not like these movies or find flaws with them, and when you fire directors/change directors, don't seem to have a long term plan, cancel movies, etc. it just makes those fan boy criticisms seem justified.

Agree the production was a pretty big mess. So, maybe even a little impressive it got off the ground and made money. DC Comics didn't fare as well.

It's just that whole crowd of people that act personally offended and disgusted that is weird. Get over yourselves.

Dead on with the fan boys.

I liked the sequel trilogy quite a bit. But I’ve said before, I don’t think the original trilogy was that great. They’re all like B/B- movies for me.

I think Solo might be my favorite all of them. Mandalorian series is worth watching if you haven’t yet

Rouge 1 was good stuff.
Haven't watched Solo yet.

Sorry the last 3 episodes didn't jive with lob's agenda.
