In a sammich deli for lunch when a family comes in with two little kids. From the moment they walk in the door, at least one of the kids is either screeching and/or crying. One rolled around on the floor wailing cuz dad wouldn’t let him have Cheetos or some shit.

At what point is it appropriate to say something?

Parenting is seriously hard work. All kids have bad days: hormones, undeveloped communication skills, sleep patterns that don’t fit the rest of society, general growing up. Don’t say anything at all or whisper to a parent, ‘it gets better,’ ‘don’t worry,’ ‘been there done that.’
