Fox and Friends
Re: Fox and Friends
Racial diversity? No. You're right, all white people but ousdahl's post stated - "Fox and friends is criticizing the dem debate for a lack of diversity".
Lack of diversity? You had a couple of women, a gay guy, a Jew, so I would say there was diversity on the stage. Would you?

Re: Fox and Friends
Then I'm not sure why he'd have an issue with an "all white panel and a token black guy"....sounded and seemed like he was trying to make it about race to me.Grandma wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2020 9:30 am Racial diversity? Re: Fox and Friends
Ouadahl watches more Fox News than any liberal I've ever seen. Hell, more than most conservatives I know. Then, he assumes their news entertainment views are shared by the majority of people on the right.
Why would you watch something just to outrage yourself? It's dumb.

Not surprised this didn't get a response from any of the libs.IllinoisJayhawk wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2020 8:31 amCringe.
But this is what white liberals tend to do to minorities on the right.

You shouldn't be. It was a dumb statement.IllinoisJayhawk wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2020 9:56 amNot surprised this didn't get a response from any of the libs.IllinoisJayhawk wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2020 8:31 amCringe.

Re: Fox and Friends
So any black dude that doesn't fall in line with Ousdahls political beliefs is a "token black guy". No black people who identify as republican should be taken seriously or at their word.
Got it.
Got it.

Conformation that at least attempting to ignore you is a much more rational choice.IllinoisJayhawk wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2020 9:56 amNot surprised this didn't get a response from any of the libs.IllinoisJayhawk wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2020 8:31 amCringe.

Re: Fox and Friends
Didn't know you white people knew what was best for all the black people out there.... keep letting them know, though. I'm sure you know what is best for them more so than they do.
Re: Fox and Friends
The fact ousdahl saying that didn't make any of you cringe is exactly why I don't think many of you are very genuine when you pretend to be outraged at racial issues. It's usually about what is best for YOU, and makes YOU feel good.

lulz
That's neither what you said nor what I contradicted.
That is purely procedural.
I mean...you should read the whole damn thing.
There are no potential criminal penalties associated with violating the Impoundment Control Act, meaning there will be no prosecution of officials for the violation....
Several administrations have been slapped by the GAO, including that of Bill Clinton and George W. Bush....
GAO also found in 2014 that the Obama administration broke the law in exchanging five Taliban commanders for a captured U.S. soldier without giving Congress 30 days notice.

No, you don't "got it". At all.IllinoisJayhawk wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2020 10:22 am So any black dude that doesn't fall in line with Ousdahls political beliefs is a "token black guy". No black people who identify as republican should be taken seriously or at their word.
Got it.
Seems you are making and sharing assumptions to appease yourself and your narrative.
Makes you guilty of what you accuse others of doing.
Re: Fox and Friends
A white liberal (ousdahl) discrediting and devaluing the opinion of a black guy. And calling him a token black guy simply because he doesn't think how ousdahl wants black people to think is/was cringeworthy.
And the silence, as always, from the lefties on this board when he (or a few others) does that (semi-frequently), honestly tells me all I need to know about some of the self righteous liberals on this board. Assuming you know what is best for black people better than they (the ones who don't identify as democrats) do.
Lots of lulz. And yes, I do "got it".

I didnt see the segment myself so I have no comment on it. Why would I?IllinoisJayhawk wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2020 9:56 amNot surprised this didn't get a response from any of the libs.IllinoisJayhawk wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2020 8:31 amCringe.

Re: Fox and Friends
It isn't the segment that should bother you. It's the white liberal calling a black guy who doesn't have the same political beliefs as him a "token black guy".twocoach wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2020 11:24 amI didnt see the segment myself so I have no comment on it. Cringe.
But this is what white liberals tend to do to minorities on the right.
But as long as it's casually racist BS from the lefties on here its always tolerated. It's all for the laughs I'm sure....just like the casually racist jokes that get thrown around with the excuse that it's okay because you guys are just making fun of the actual racists.
Re: Fox and Friends
That's your assumption as to why he chose those words. I doubt it's accurate, like most of your assumptions. I didnt see the segment so like.I said, I dont have a comment about the validity of Ousdahl's statement.IllinoisJayhawk wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2020 11:28 amIt isn't the segment that should bother you. Not surprised this didn't get a response from any of the libs.
To me, the use of the word "token" means that the person had no specific unique point of view on the topic they were presenting so they were picked for the assignment solely to fill a quota or role. All networks, Fox, CNN, etc... staff based on a desire to present a certain look of diversity between races and gender. Many jobs are filled in these rules with an implied understand of the race/gender that they are looking for to fill the role. It's the way it is.
Advertising is the same. An ad for kids clothes or toys? One regular white kid, one black kid, one Asian kid and one white kid with red hair. Rinse, repeat.
Re: Fox and Friends
A white guy calling a black guy a "token black guy" is racist. Full stop.
Re: Fox and Friends
You do realize that no one here seems to be doing any of the things you are claiming here, right?IllinoisJayhawk wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2020 10:23 am Didn't know you white people knew what was best for all the black people out there.... keep letting them know, though. We have already established that your white guy opinion of what is racist is different than many other white guy opinions. But have at it.IllinoisJayhawk wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2020 11:41 am A white guy calling a black guy a "token black guy" is racist. Full stop.
Re: Fox and Friends
Discrediting and devaluing a black persons opinion/story/feelings/etc. becuase their political beliefs don't align with yours is doing just that.twocoach wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2020 12:08 pmYou do realize that no one here seems to be doing any of the things you are claiming here, right?IllinoisJayhawk wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2020 10:23 am Didn't know you white people knew what was best for all the black people out there.... keep letting them know, though.
