Exactly. Chiefs have to play pretty shitty for the Titans to have a chance. And they really haven't played shitty since that Titans game. They've really found their stride. Have won 8 in a row.

Eric Fisher is the big difference here. With him in lineup Chiefs are 9-0 and scored on average like 34 points.

Without him, 3-5 and scoring something like in the 20s. Cam Erving was his replacement. He is not good as a LT. Fisher didn't play against the Titans. Has played in most every game since. His health is a big correlation to the Chiefs doing well. He protects Mahomes' blind side.

I have seen the Chiefs do so many WTF things at the worst possible time that I never doubt the possibility of any unlikely outcome.

I think both teams have a path to victory and I hope the Chiefs figure out how to do it. Fingers and toes crossed.

Yeah me too, twocoach, but that can’t be figured into thinking (from opposition viewpoint) on seeing how to win.

If I thought only way Titans win was flukey nonsense happening, wouldn’t be anywhere near as hopeful. Think it will take a great game plan, and I’m excited to see how I plays out.

Your second sentence is only one I disagree with here. It diminishes the fact that Titans fo match up well with Chiefs. If Chiefs offense plays like last 40 minutes Sunday, fuck.

But, that hasn’t been exactly how they’ve been playing, and if consider that pretty exceptional, even by Chiefs standards. If they play more to mean and Titans play to their mean, Chiefs definitely hold advantage, but gap not as great as I think some of you believe.

In related news, Hayley Lewis, former Miss Tennessee, and Chiefs reporter, is easy to look at.

Chiefs record is now 13-4, so 4-4 without Fisher.

I’m not sure the game plan should be to shut down Henry. That is nearly impossible. Try and limit his big runs and don’t let the play action game get going.
The Chiefs can’t turn the ball over and let the Titans operate with good field position.

Field position may indeed be key.

Titans game plan vs Pats was get lead, run clock on offense, Kern pins inept Pats offense and their inability to sustain drives was exploited.

vs Ravens, got lead, kept Jackson outside, let him throw wild 20-20, then tighten pressure as approaching red zone.

Truly amazing Tannehill hasn’t thrown for 200 total yards in 2 games.

Defensively, against Chiefs, I really don’t know what is going to be tried. Mahomes’ vision, Kelce’s instincts (and those two being so in time with each other).....then ALL that speed. Man. I dunno.

But I do know Vrabel has had answer for both Pats and Ravens.

I think not letting Chiefs offense score at a video game pace is the key. Can they play six minute quarters please?

Frank made some rather puzzling comments about Henry. I mean, I appreciate his honesty but he better cash those checks his mouth is writing.

It’s really interesting because it wasn’t during a press conference. And I don’t know if locker rooms are open this week.

So I wonder how it got out there.

Okay. I've seen it posted in other places and wondered where it came from. He was on the podium yesterday and I don't believe he said anything of the sort. That sounds like something he would say in private but understanding the situation I couldn't imagine him being that honest on the week of a game. I wouldn't be surprised if it was made up.

In the long run it shouldn't really matter. If you need that type of 'bulletin board' material to get you going with a Super Bowl on the line then you probably weren't dialed in anyway.

*edit*
I don't see any Chiefs beat writers Tweeting about it and if that was real it would be all over. I'm saying fake.

I didn’t vett my source. Sorry. I’m in Lawrence, though, so my heart is full.

I didn't mean to take a shot at you, GQ. I saw it pop up on my Instagram feed for the first time and thought no way was that real.

Enjoy, Lawrence! Hopefully the last thing you enjoy this weekend (wink, wink).

So, real or not, I’m ok with the quote.

Chiefs are bringing it. Their defense has been so passive for many years. They have guys who won’t back down from anything, and I appreciate that as a fan.

If I was a Chiefs fan, I’d like the swagger. As an opposition fan this weekend, and with that opposition being potentially outmatched, I LOVE the potential for motivation, at least from fan perspective.

I know ya weren’t jabbing at me Holidays. Of ya we’re, I’d have survived it too :).

Never mind it is real. From a one on one conversation with James Palmer. Probably would have kept that to myself but hey that may be the Championship Swagger they have been referring to.

The gauntlet has been thrown down. You wanna talk that talk you better walk that walk, Frank.
