KC Chiefs v San Fran

Post by pdub »

Lot of conservative tools.
Three runners to control the clock.
Great defense.

Where can Mahomes exploit?

Chris Jones was good in key moments. Let’s hope he gets up for bigger moments. Like Dorito ads.

Also Dee Ford v Frank Clarke and a high draft pick.

Worth it?

Best offense against best defense -- bring it on. Feels good just to be in this fucking game for the first time in my life.

Run motion against Reid. Never seen it before. Like the Chiefs here.

Any of you clowns going to the game?
Of course I would love to go but I can't afford the ticket price and no one is giving me one.
KU plays TTU on the 1st so I just may go to the game and then hang out in KC until Monday the 3rd.
As far as the game, I believe the Chiefs opened as a 1.5 point favorite.
I'm predicting a KC 31 SF 24 final.

If you handed me game tickets, plane tickets and a hotel reservation, I’d go. I would not pay to do so. From what I’ve heard, the atmosphere is sort of like a dome Final Four, but turned down by half.

As a Chiefs fan, I’m looking forward to being with a lot of other Chiefs fans. Most likely at a big neighborhood party not requiring anyone to drive afterwards.

Decided I will be in KC. Why not? Right?
KU hoops on Saturday, KC Chiefs in the Super Bowl on Sunday. What could be better?
Funny how Kansas City can be the most desirable destination in the country for me in late January / early February.

Somebody invite Gutter over to watch.

One of my friends in Maine housesits a mansion for three weeks every year. It’s tradition to watch the Super Bowl there. He’s a big Pack fan so I’m kinda glad they didn’t make it through.

Chiefs got out of the game relatively healthy. That was big. Jones was situational pass rusher and then seemed to play quite a few snaps after in 1st, 2nd and 3rd down.

Mahomes in the playoffs is just insane. Lots of yards and 13 TDs overall (11 pass 2 rush) and 0 turnovers.

Kelce was quiet yesterday, but when he’s quiet, playoff Sammy comes to play. Sammy was so unbelievably good yesterday. 49ers have to pick their poison. Someone is going to have 100 yards receiving, you just have to decide who it will be.

49ers are a diverse and explosive offense. Yeah they don’t pass at a high clip, but they do it well when needed. They run the ball very well. But different running then Tennessee. Titans just want to run in between the tackles, and San Fran likes to run outside and inside with lots of motion and misdirection. Are explosive enough to score 40+ though.

Will have a prediction next week, but feel pretty good about Chiefs chances. Vegas favorites by a point.

I swear, I may melt in a nervous puddle if Kelce drops a 3rd down pass early.

SF runs motion on 70% of plays--gets the defense all out of sorts. Their real strength on offense is the line where they've perfected zone blocking. Shanahan probably deserves COY. A complete football team--best front D 4 in the league. I'm surprised chiefs are favored, SF just looks like the best team, but it's easy to bet on the best player on the field and the Chiefs have him.

That Mostert kid isnt going to run for 220 yards and 4 TDs like he did yesterday.

You only have the game of your life once.

While I agree he is not going to run for 220 and 4 TD vs the Chiefs, the kid has had 7 games this season where he averaged more than 6.4 yards per carry and 3 where he averaged 7.5 or more.
He (and as CNB alluded to - the 49ers O-line) is legit.

I think the 49ers are a better version of the Titans, and the Chiefs ended up handling the Titans by a comfortable margin. Unless the clock strikes midnight and Mahomes turns into a normal QB (that, like, turns the ball over and stuff), I think a bet on the Chiefs is a bet that they can just keep scoring.

I see the Niners as the perfected version of the Vikings--Same exact offense and a nasty Front 4. I don't know if that makes them more or less fearful than a titans comparison, but SF is just the first team Chiefs have seen that truly doesn't have a glaring weakness.

And Henry had run for 149+ in 6 of his last 8 games.

Yet here we are.

KC beat the Vikings with Matt Moore at QB.
