Every time I watch the news it is clear that many people do have impulse control issues. And our societal feeding of impulses, from disposable everything to addictive tech to garbage fast food, is only making it worse.

It doesnt make it OK. Making the right choice is especially hard in the face of our own biology and in a society that seems to celebrate saying, doing, taking, eating and fucking what you want, damn the consequences.
