God, do we really care about the bump they get from selling out a single home game?

Not at all my reasoning for posting. I’d give them 50k Bump and a sellout to not be involved in it. The 40 point spread and no value to anyone but Braun is my issue.

Yep. I don't care about the attendance bump, but I don't care about playing them in the first place, anyway. It's simply ridiculous to schedule them over UK.

Hindsight on our AD says this series will not be renewed.

There were several on here stating that misery wouldn't get a significant bump from playing us, or at least that it was being over-stated.

Coming from a guy who'd rather play MIZZOU instead of Gonzaga.

I don't think the 1 game attendance bump was what most of them were talking about. I'm 1 of the 1s who doesn't think this does all that much for improving their program other than the single game bump in attendance.

But this is a personal choice topic. I don't think the people who don't want to play them are "wrong" for feeling that way at all. Totally understand the reasoning.

Go figure a Mizzou-trained journalist doesn't know the difference between affected and effected.

I was always taught effect with an e for end result. Wouldn't that make it the right one since he was saying the crowd made no difference on the end result of the game?

I am also not a professional writer, so don't call me dumb for not knowing either if I am wrong, lol.

No, it's used wrongly here. He is saying he is not being affected by the smallest crowd. In other words, the crowd had no effect on him.

A verb use of effect: The quiet crowd effected a boring ass atmosphere.

A noun use of affect: I'm not even going to try it.
