There's always going to be some a-hole scientist who is going to nitpick every minute detail of every scene and come up with some criticism. As they say in Geico commercials "That's what we do" - if we didn't science would never progress. But at some point you just appreciate the fact that they took the effort and got it mostly right: e.g. Breaking Bad - I am a chemist in the pharma industry and my job involves making bulk drug for clinical trials and commercial distribution. In effect, I am paid to be the Walter White of my employer. I have also worked with amphetamine derivatives and know that they are notoriously difficult to crystallize at all let alone crystallize reproducibly - that would be a nitpick. But that is what makes watching these movies/series fun. They portray the most of the chemistry quite accurately - they use the most advanced non-proprietary way to make the stuff.
What does irk me are scenes of someone injecting something into what looks like a gas chromatograph and then a few minutes later a structure of a hitherto unknown compound pops up on the screen! Superman movies are more believable than that!!!!!!
