I am familiar with Nate Silver. Same guy who predicted that Dowdy the Clown would win in 2016 - 98% certain, if memory serves. The more you learn about statistics the more you realize that they are easily manipulated and can say pretty much whatever you want them to say. It's a tired gambit.

Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Re: Bombs sent to CNN and the Clintons
There's a reason so many on both sides have taken issues with Trump's dog-whistles - they cause this stuff. I don't think Trump is a bigot, but I do think he likes that they support him and he feeds that. The side effects of those dog whistles coming from the leader of our country are the problem.
Re: Bombs sent to CNN and the Clintons
ummm I dunno if you can blow bigoted dog whistles without being a bigot yourself.
What’s next - hitler didn’t actually hate the Jews, he was just pandering to his base?

Trump has decades of history that can be used to come to the easy conclusion that he is a bigot.Mjl wrote: ↑Sat Oct 27, 2018 11:29 pm There's a reason so many on both sides have taken issues with Trump's dog-whistles - they cause this stuff. That's an entertaining read; I certainly tip my hat to the mental gymnastics. None of it is reality but it got a chuckle out of me nonetheless. Well played. If you could have been a little more subtle instead of blatantly overdramatizing the points then it would have been even more clever. It's too easy to sniff out sarcasm when you drown it in that much dramatic excess. But I know taking things to 150% is how it's done these days so it is what it is.HouseDivided wrote: ↑Sat Oct 27, 2018 8:09 pmIf, by "chunk", you're referring to the people who are desperately clinging to the fantasy that President Trump only won because of "Russian collusion," and that the "majority" of the country desperately hates him and is longing for a strong, feminist/socialist candidate to take the reins and save us from ourselves, then, yes, there is a small, but vocal gullible chunk of the population who will believe anything.twocoach wrote: ↑Sat Oct 27, 2018 7:54 pmAll your doing is affirming how gullible and ready to believe anything a chunk of our country is.HouseDivided wrote: ↑Sat Oct 27, 2018 3:38 pm
Exactly. What better patsy to choose than an angry, disaffected guy who has a history of drug abuse, misuses steroids, and is not shy about making threats on Twitter. Ready-made Plan B.
And, by "anything," I mean that Brett Kavanaugh is a serial rapist who is unfit to serve on the Supreme Court and that the President's rhetorical rantings are a "dog whistle" meant to call a group of dimwitted, racist outcasts to arms. The events of the past month are a shocking portrait of the desperation behind the scenes of those who are terrified of a populist movement in our governmental system.
Re: Bombs sent to CNN and the Clintons
Let's see now if I can list everything Trump is responsible for; mass shootings, hurricanes, immigrant caravans, Dems head explosions,oh almost forgot, https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/wash ... se-keeping, did I say Dems heads exploding?

Someone I know posted this on Facebook this morning.
PIPE BOMBER SUSPECT pictured last year with Izzy Hernandez. Sayok does not appear destitute. In addition, why would a Trump enthusiast attend a banquet and have a photo OP with a Democrat Donor/Supporter? Facebook keeps trying to take down this photo,,,pls share this ASAP!
When I called him out on it and said......
COME ON JOE! FIRST OFF - The moron who posted this spelled Sayoc's name wrong. That should be your first clue that this is a farce. Second, who is the guy in the photo with him? Is it really someone named Izzy Hernandez? Or are you just assuming it is because some idiot posted the photo and claims it is. Third, do you or anyone else know who in the hell "Izzy Hernandez" is? Can you find him with a simple Google search? Next, if I took a photograph with Louis Farrakhan does that make me a Muslim? The claim is Facebook is trying to take down the photo - and yet your post has been up for over 7 hours without being removed. Perhaps if Facebook really is trying to take it down it's because it's complete bullshit?
***** Someone else responded......
Yeah, I’m sure EVERYBODY knows the correct spelling of Sayoc. It’s just as common as Smith or Jones. SMH.
Why would you want to take a photo with Louis Farrakhan if you didn’t agree with him for the most part?
The photo is complete bullshit? The pic is clearly of Sayoc and a guy who shows up as Izzy Hernandez in my google image search for Dem Donor Izzy Hernandez.
Did you take your own advice or just run off at your keyboard?
Please explain.
****** My response......
Well Joe, I am going to respectfully respond to you. It's my feeling that if you are going to take the time to try and play detective and share it with the world, it's usually a good idea to know how to spell your subject's name so you don't come off as being clueless and ignorant in the process. Maybe you and I differ on that. I actually am somewhat involved in politics and deal with politicians who are both Republican and Democrats. I consider myself to be an independent but if I took a pic with a Republican/Democrat then I am automatically assumed to be a Republican/Democrat and I am "guilty" by association? The photo of Sayoc and Hernandez may or may not be photoshopped. Do we know for sure? What I do know is that YOU nor ANYONE else other than those who were there in that assumed non-photoshopped pic know for sure when and where that photo was taken. You just assume it was "a year ago" at a "banquet" because the person with an agenda posted that it was taken a year ago at a banquet. Maybe it was. Maybe it wasn't. Either way, we are taking someone's (who ironically isn't identified in Joe's post) word for it. I am going to go ahead and assume the Izzy Hernandez in the photo is the same Izzy Hernandez who is the "well known" soccer coach in North Carolina. I can't find anything in a Google search that identifies his political affiliations nor contributions. Please feel free to do a search and provide me with that information and please share the image search you came up with in terms of the specific photo with Sayoc and the source that identifies them as being together. Thanks in advance.
***** His response.....
such ridiculousness.
Why else would you in normal circumstances take a pic with a political figure?
Sayoc is clearly not at the White House (perhaps a once in a lifetime deal). He probably isn’t in Hernandez’s circle of friends.
How many people spelled Barack Obama’s name properly every time?
What makes you think that photo was altered?
Who asserted when that pic was taken?
Are you trying to say that the Dems don’t regularly push false narratives for political purposes? Especially close to an election they’re desperate to win?
I hope your suspicions run to the left as quickly as your condemnation of JBs post did. Otherwise I call BS on your claim of being an independent.
**** I quit while I was ahead, or behind, or just didn't give a shit anymore.

No hyperbole intended. That's honestly how your side comes off to me; a look in the mirror for the Left, if you will.twocoach wrote: ↑Sun Oct 28, 2018 9:43 amThat's an entertaining read; I certainly tip my hat to the mental gymnastics. Lulz. I never cease to be amazed at all of the euphemisms libs generate for “people who knowingly and intentionally break the law”.

soo when a white guy shoots up a synagogue or a black church, how is that not terrorism?
It’s just your run of the mill “breaking the law” unless it’s colored folks doing it?
