I like that trade for Wiggins' future. His whole thing has been that he's better in space and the open court. What creates more space than playing Curry and Thompson.
Re: Jawhawks in the NBA
Wonder how long GS will keep him around?
I like the trade for both teams.

Great trade for Wiggins. Minnesota is and always will be a trash franchise. He should fit in great with next year’s Warriors team

Wolves giving up assets for a guy that made it clear he did not want to play there.
At least I can stop following that sad ass franchise. It's been rough.

I feel the Warriors were missing Harrison Barnes and targeted Wiggins for that role.

KAT hated the Covington trade, wonder how he feels about this one. When is his contract up because he'll be out of Minny the second it is.
Re: Jawhawks in the NBA
Wiggins would have been gone too once he became a FA.NDballer13 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 06, 2020 12:31 pm KAT hated the Covington trade, wonder how he feels about this one. When is his contract up because he'll be out of Minny the second it is.
Hard to keep anyone worth a damn in that organization once they've got freedom and options to go elsewhere
Re: Jawhawks in the NBA
Ramona on ESPN saying Lakers and clippers are both actively talking to NYK about Marcus....sounds like it's only a matter of time that he ends up in 1 of those spots.
Re: Jawhawks in the NBA
Biggest hurdle I see is Wiggin’s Canadian personality blending with Draymonds, not Canadian personality.

Town and DLo are close. But, again, DLo wanted nothing to do with Minnesota this past summer.NDballer13 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 06, 2020 12:31 pm KAT hated the Covington trade, wonder how he feels about this one. When is his contract up because he'll be out of Minny the second it is.

Hoping for improvement in both sides of that. Wiggs work ethic “seems” to be improving. Just can’t “make” him be a chest beater.

Good for him. He'll be a top player for them this year. They might get the #1 pick. And then Steph and Klay will be full go.
Steph, Klay, Wiggins, Draymond and then whoever they pick #1. Not a bad starting 5.

Well, if it doesn't end up working in Golden State (solid organization, surrounded by shooters), not sure where it will.CrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Thu Feb 06, 2020 12:58 pmJust needed a fresh start and a new scheme. Agree though that Green seems to be oil and water with Wiggs.

He's playing the most complete ball of his career this year. It seems like he's finally listening to the legitimate criticism. No Thibs also helps. He should take another step forward in GS and they need his scoring for the rest of this season.
For all the criticism, there's only like 8 other guys in history that have scored as much as he has at the same age.

I should have been clearer - by "working", I mean getting reasonably close to his ceiling.CrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Thu Feb 06, 2020 1:21 pm He's playing the most complete ball of his career this year. Yes, I would think it will be good for him to finally play for a winning team (next season), which allow him to grow as a player because they won't be getting smoked if he doesn't go for 30+.
I read something where next season the cap goes up and with new contracts, he'll be like in the high 20's/low 30's for salary--he should be able to get closer to matching that with his play and it doesn't feel like noose contract for a team, anymore.

Yup. Clips.
Holy fuck, the Clippers have a bunch of DOGs on the defensive end! PatBev, Marcus, Kawhi, PG. Wow.
