Yes, but he also knew he didn't have to shoot a big shot in Iowa and/or New Hampshire to make it to Super Tuesday.

All the Trump noise about Burisma and investigating the Bidens has cut the legs from under him.

I doubt that's as significant a factor (particularly at this stage) as his general mushiness and lack of focus/difficulty engaging with other candidates and on issues. He's entirely one-note, and that note just isn't resonating.

His age is showing in his confusion and incoherence. Biden ten years ago would be doing well, but age catches up with us all at some point.

Lulz?

"Youtube, is by far, the most important site in the world for spreading information"?
It very well might be.
You're knowledgable about Youtube so will you please tell me what percentage of the of people posting and viewing SHIT on Youtube have ZERO knowledge about politics and what percentage you feel have more knowledge than someone who rarely views Youtube videos involving politics but gets their information from other sources.
I can assure you that should I choose, there are many other methods for me to educate myself besides watching Youtube videos. Including but not limited to access to research the "public" does not have. Before you smirk and roll your eyes, realize I have worked for Mayors, a Governor, and a President.
Like I said, Yang and Gabbard were (as you pointed out numerous times) extremely popular on Youtube to the point of your insisting because if it, they had a strong chance to win the nomination. That simply was not true. Right?
Now all of a sudden you are saying Sanders is popular on Youtube. Seems based on Yang's and Gabbard's popularity on Youtube, that and $2.25 doesn't get me (and Bernie?) much more than a ride on a bus.
Gutman, I applaud your effort in trying to reason with Lobby. Sorry to point out, once again, that he just doesn't care. At best he's a troll, just trying to get a rise out of people on this board. At worst, he's a completely uninformed know-it-all who's sometimes correct - bad combination right there.

I know this because he doesn't even approach the fact that Youtube is also one of the biggest tools of misinformation. He either doesn't know or doesn't care. I'm afraid his attention span is so short that he's impervious to logic.

He's also completely unaware of the fact that, in the words of the great Serpent Head James Carville, there's a word for a politician who counts on the "youth vote," aka those who get their news from Facebook or Youtube - Loser.
I hope you dont think "gets news from Facebook" is limited to youths. My mother in law is 70+ and she and all her little Bunco buddies all get their news through Facebook. Not deliberately. They just dont deliberately go get it from anywhere else.
I'm a "too old" 50 something year old and yesterday I had a Facebook exchange with other 50 something year olds that include a U of Chicago alum and other "well educated" individuals.
It absolutely fucking blows my mind how gullible and ignorant "intelligent" people can be.

It was in regards to this "meme" that a friend posted.

Seems there was ZERO "FACT CHECKING" by those who commented on the original post.

I said, "Mia Farrow isn’t too bright. If she spent 30 seconds doing some research she would find the answer to the ignorant meme question".

Someone responded - "not taking sides, but how did he do it?"

My response to him was, "I am someone who is cynical by nature. It's a fault. I am leery of most of what I see/read on social media posts when it comes to politics. The meme/tweet that Robbie posted peaked my curiosity. Therefore, I took 30 seconds to research it. Sorry, that didn't answer your question. Let me answer it. He didn't increase his net worth by 2.4 million a year for a decade. That's a false statement. His wife comes from an extremely wealthy family. Her mother passed away and his wife inherited a lot of money. Yes, his net worth may have gone from approximately 3 million in 2005 to 27 million in 2015. That's due to his wife's inheritance. It's well documented and there are many reliable sources as well as tax records that prove it".

So many people playing obtuse because they don't want lobster to right about anything.

Youtube is by far the most important site. If it wasn't, then why have all the news stations created their own Youtube channels? Listening to podcasts has far more benefits than reading or watching the news can offer. It's tiresome, so I'll let those of you who are behind decide if you want to keep selling horses.

The bottom line is, Youtube is as close to an unbiased, honest view of public opinion that we have. Very similar to IMDB, you will most of the time be able to get an accurate reading on what is popular, and more importantly, what people WANT.

Trump was extremely popular on Youtube in 2015 and 2016. I doubted this would have an effect and I was wrong. I'm not going to underestimate the power of the platform again. He remains pretty popular on Youtube in 2020.

Yang -- DChawk got it right when he mention Yang actually was running on something. He was eventually forced out, but he would still make a great VP for Sanders. Yang was very popular on Youtube, but maybe not as much as Sanders.

Sanders -- extremely popular on Youtube, and that is why I think he's got the best chance. He also is running on something (whether you hate it or not). I think he's in the lead right now, but things can change.

Warren -- too much like chikin in that she spreads a false narrative of feminism / women's rights b.s. She's not all that popular on Youtube. It also makes her look worse when she's complaining about the rich, yet she made over 400K a year as a professor. She's too much part of the establishment and people can see through her b.s.

Pete - he's gay and young. That's it. No chance.

Biden -- he is running on nothing. No chance.

Gabbard -- was quite popular on Youtube, but ultimately, they thought she was too dangerous and pushed her out. However, she destroyed Kamala Harris, and that's fantastic news. We are fortunate Harris is out.

Chikin -- so sad you try to kick a man when his wife has cancer. I would like see how you would cope in that situation. But you got the story wrong, as there was a lot more to it. If I had the choice to be Chikin or Peterson, I would rather be the guy who's wife is dying of cancer. At least Peterson knew how to raise his daughter so that she didn't grow up hating men. But to do that, you must first be a man.

Klobuchar.

After a couple of weeks of flirting with running for president; Bloomberg gets real and agrees to be her VP and attack dog with billionS of teeth.

A couple of pragmatists get together and make a winning team.

If you think that's the formula needed to beat Trump, you might as well get Kerry and Edwards. "We're not as bad a Trump" isn't going to win.

I remember grading term papers at the end of the semester while a GTA at KU. Some of the "primary" sources cited in many of my student's bibliographies:

Reddit

Alex Jones

And of course what's so funny is that, in a lot of cases, the primary sources were probably just one citation deeper!

Like, instead of "The Daily Show said...," it's "Mick Mulvany held a press conference at which he..."

Youtube is a source for determining what people want. Look at the like/dislike ratios and comments. You can pretend it's not, but you're just ignoring reality.

Wikipedia was pretty bad when it was new, but it has grown into a decent starting point. It often provides links to better sources.

Things change. People don't sell horses anymore.
