It's fairly simple. Teams 1-6 are really good. Better than the rest.

Teams 7-100 are all a crap shoot in their matchups. It's going to make the tournament crazy. If you matchup up any team 7-100 and you play the game 10 times, it'd be 5-5 for each time. That's how balanced those teams are.

We've had our fair share of elite 8 blunders and tournament blunders in general. Sometimes it's luck. Sometimes it's players. Sometimes it's coaching.

I don't think Scott Drew is nearly as bad of a coach as we make him out to be. I don't think he's a good/great coach, but there are a lot of coaches in the same tier as Drew that have made a final 4. Drew just has always been a bit of an ass towards KU and Self so we hate him. And that's okay. He's definitely not someone I enjoy.

Coaching is definitely important.

But having good players is equally as important, and I think they've got pretty good players.

And tbh, there are about 5-10 coaches (max) who wouldn't fall into the category of "don't trust them in elite 8 with their team down and game on the line".

One of the best shooting teams in the NCAA. 1st in 3 point % and top 3 in 3 point shots taken and made.

Big ole Greg McDermott adapted the new way of thinking before many did and he's thrived with it. He was the first guy to really play 4 out and shoot 3s the majority of the time down the floor.

75-5 since January 1st. And one of those losses is the Kansas loss to Baylor.

There are 7 really good teams. The rest of them are all good, but not really good.

I saw a stat last weekend I think it was the only loss a Top 5 team had in 2020 was Kansas to Baylor. Crazy when you look at how December went.

But like PhD said, it helps when 3 of those 5 are playing Loyola Marymount every night.
