Plus, Indy regional is playing at the Colts stadium, Houston is at Rockets arena.

Think KU wants a traditional basketball arena over a football stadium.

The Champions Classic games don’t mean much because it’s not at Bankers Life.
I figured Houston was at Reliant. This would make me want to choose Houston, should we have the opportunity to do so.

Live in Minneapolis, where the biggest attraction is a mall, with buggy summers and frigid winters.
Or in Seattle, right on the ocean, a quick drive to some of the most beautiful forests in the United States and one of the taller mountains as well, and while there is a decent amount of precipitation, the temperatures are moderate. And a better food scene to be sure.
If Minneapolis' "biggest attraction" is a mall, then Seattle's is either a fish market or a spire. Ok.

My rankings are, by their nature, subjective. The tech bro culture in Seattle is just an enormous off for me. I find the people in Minneapolis to be much more earnest, genuine and generally enjoyable to be around.

And I grant that there's some stunning scenery, but honestly the north shore of Lake Superior isn't so far off.
Hard to argue Minneapolis' "biggest attraction" isn't a Mall.
Yes, I get locals go to the mall.
I also get that fucksticks from places such as Chicago actually take buses to Minneapolis just for the sole purpose of going shopping at the mall.

If you're visiting Minneapolis and a burger for lunch at the 5-8 Club isn't on your list, your trip was wasted. Much more important that visiting a mall that is legit in every city.

They are converting Lucas Oil as if it were a Basketball stadium in terms of seating. Basically cutting it in half.
Granted, no matter how you dress it up - it's still a football stadium.

As poor a 3 pt shooting team as we are this year, this might be the first time it would work in our favor to play in a dome.

I get it, but measuring a city by its tourist traps is dumb. If you were to list out things that are great about Chicago, would you say The Bean? Or about New York, would you say Times Square?

Very rarely is a city's signature tourist trap representative of the city's merits.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Self chooses Houston. It’s not as cut and dry as KU is in the Midwest so let’s do that region. That Texas base would show up big time.
I might be wrong, but feels like you are overselling the home crowd in Houston thing. Dallas, sure. KC, Omaha, Wichita, definitely. Houston? IDK. Seems like it might even be less than San Antonio.

UNC is DEAD last in the ACC.
Can you imagine Bill Self and Kansas ever being dead last in the B12?

Don't look now but yes, that's Duke who has yet another Final Four road of 2 games in North Carolina and 2 games in MSG.

Yes.
And watch San Diego State be their 1 and have to fly almost as far as a team can for March Madness.

On a personal level, I wish I had followed that instead of a different combination.

The overall 1 seed gets to choose their region, and I'm guessing KU would choose South (Houston) over MW (Indy).

2108 reincarnated in the West? UM/FSU Elite 8 again?
GOD PLEASE NO!
Not a single possible Sweet 16 or Elite scenario that would be of interest to me in the West if Lunardi's 2/24 bracket came to fruition.
