I don't know. CBS has them as a 3, I imagine Lunardi will soon as well. I think Villanova is going to be the team that moves to the 2 line and stays there. Duke is at Virginia Saturday. Home against NC State and then finish up against UNC. Not an easy slate for them.

If I had a guess...

1 line is obviously Kansas, Duke, Gonzaga and likely San Diego State

2 line is Maryland, Villanova, Dayton, Florida State

3 line is Duke, L'Ville, Creighton and Seton Hall

Doesn't really matter where Duke plays and what seed they are. They will be on TV and people will watch them play.
I wouldn't be at all shocked if they make the Final Four just as I wouldn't be at all shocked if they don't make it out of the first weekend.
I'll worry/care about Duke if/when we face them. Until then, fuck 'em.

Right! Only thing is, people on here don't give a fuck about 45 other teams as much as they do Duke - and they realize Duke lost to Wake and SFA but....... They also beat KU.
Same can't be said about any other team.

Not really. I don't think there are 45 teams that can beat us or baylor. I think there are about 10 and duke is 1 of them.

There are 45 teams that can beat duke. But not Baylor or KU. They've established themselves as the top 2 teams and it's really not that close.

Today a couple olds were at the Y and jokingly ( and loudly ) asked one another,

"Ah, and where did that kid Zion Williamson go?"

They don't seem to be as immune to bad losses as KU or Baylor does.

I wonder why that is? Most years I'd just assume it's because the ACC is better than the Big12...but that's not the case this year. Wake forest wouldn't be in the top half of the big 12 either. Weird year.

No depth, and their four best players are 3 freshmen and a sophomore. Underclassmen tend to be less consistent and lacking depth makes you vulnerable to things like foul trouble or one guy having an off night.

Who knows how much they paid them, wish we'd have been the 1s to pay them and get them to KU.

But yes, duh, they got some form of improper benefits...just as all top players do. And just as probably at least half of our rotation players have.

On a side note: weird how the Calipari hate has died down around here now that we've been exposed as doing the same shit we were supposed to hate him for.

No doubt about this. Shit, I hardly remember our own Sweet 16 losses, because they just get memory-holed so fast (and are, necessarily, diluted by their being eight games in that round instead of four).

Yup. Elite 8 losses are on days where there are only 2 games. So they draw more attention.


1 of my good friends is a UNC fan. He was a little tipsy on the golf course last weekend spouting off about how UNC has the best tournament record recently and how Kansas always chokes....he got clobbered with a whole bunch of facts about how that's untrue. It's like he couldn't remember the years when UNC is an 8 seed or misses the tourney. Meanwhile Kansas is a 1 seed just about every year so it may seem like we get upset more, it's mainly because unless we win it all then of course a team seeded worse than us beats us because it's only possible to play 2 of the other 1 seeds.
