I actually didn't expect Pete to drop out.
And I don't really expect Warren to either.

They were friendly in the Senate, where they served together for 30 years.

What's the over/under that we're about to be subjected to a lot more media about just that, from the criminal enterprise known as the Trump Administration?

It's a good thing they don't have to testify.

Re: who ya got?
I don't think so.
It's going to come down to Biden and Sanders.
And I don't think Americans can go that far left and pick Bernie. I mean, they picked Hillary over Bernie in 2016.
I ultimately think Biden gets nomination. And he'll get someone who is quite younger to be VP. Whether that be Mayor Pete, Stacey Abrams or Kamala Harris. It'll be someone who has passion and can do a bunch of the ground work and get the young people involved. Then Joe will come in and be a calm soul who appeals to the older generation.

so, which ticket has the better odds of beating the incumbent + whomever the vp is sacrificed for?
biden - pete
biden - klobuchar
biden - harris
biden - abrams
biden - warren
i just don’t see abrams or harris, particularly with biden’s supposed support among african americans already
warren brings a further left (and younger?) demographic
pete brings, what, the LGBTQ demographic? i’m honestly not sure...the midwest?
klobuchar should bring more of the midwest
policies aside, it would seem warren might broaden the support more than others...

Re: who ya got?
Yeah good points on all things.
I'm looking at it from a middle of the road perspective. I don't know all the Democratic ways of thinking like most others do on here.
Biden/Warren is interesting. Warren's time is running out. This may be her only way to get out of Senate. Don't think she'll be the President ever. But has a chance to latch on to Biden and be a prominent figure in politics still.
If Biden gets a solid VP candidate, it's a wrap for Bernie. Don't think many want to side with Bernie's far left stances.
I don't know what the Dems want to do. I don't know if they want Biden and go further left for VP, or pick someone younger who is also somewhat more in middle. Or if they want a far left Bernie, with a moderate VP. I think they can get middle-right people who don't want to go along with Trump's further right stance. I think they can get a lot of conversions if they play it right.

I would say it has to be Klobuchar or Warren on the ticket....each brings significant advantages, as you have pointed out. Least downside with either of them - Warren with a slight edge because she can/will hang the clown suit on Pence (or whoever is stupid enough to replace him on the ticket - I'm thinking Lindsey is the frontrunner).TraditionKU wrote: ↑Tue Mar 03, 2020 10:27 am so, which ticket has the better odds of beating the incumbent + whomever the vp is sacrificed for?
