B1G is a league full of #5 seeds

I don't have The Athletic, but have heard this is an outstanding article.
From what I've heard, he is still working to keep a platform going for his cancer foundation. He is basically going to work until he falls over dead because he feels like this is the best thing for him and his cancer foundation/research.
He gets a bad rap, from me included, but he's such a good guy. Loves to have fun and does something multiple times every week that he truly enjoys doing. Yeah his phrases are old, tiresome and more hoarse and incoherent every day. But I have to give him credit. He doesn't want to retire and sit back, he wants to do what he can to help the world every day.

^^^^^ A+ post
The funny thing is the majority of the people who feel he sucks at his job - are probably worse at their job than he is at his.

Re: NCAA 19-20
Oh but it’s OK if I suck at my job, and people should put up with it, cuz I’m really just using this job as my vehicle to help the world...
Re: NCAA 19-20
But for real that does make me feel ever so slightly better about dickie v
Re: NCAA 19-20
Turns out it wasn't Vital. It was Dakish.
I used to like Vitale when he started at ESPN in the 80's. As I remember, he wasn't a color guy but did the Holly Rowe thing. He brought lots of energy and excitement. After a few decades it wears thin.
Good dude. I'm glad he's doing what he's doing. Just let him call dook games.

Defense. Rebounds.

And it's good that he's supporting a cause -- I just wish he would find another way to do it.
I hate his voice and I don't think he's a very good announcer.

I don't doubt it.
Always going to be exceptions. I figure since most people on here suck at posting (of course myself included) there is a decent chance they are probably shitty at their jobs too.

Re: NCAA 19-20
I can remember sitting in a coaching basketball class at KU and someone asked Self about Dickie V. Said his 'stuff' at times can turn certain people off but he genuinely loves the game of basketball and is passionate about it. Those kinds of people are fine with Self.

Ousdahl seems like he genuinely loves enchiladas and tacos and is passionate about them but I wouldn't want him making them for me.

I hope he works forever, raises tons more money for cancer research and that his workload never includes another KU game.
Re: NCAA 19-20
Sir, you’re welcome to request a refill. Just please don’t throw a tantrum if the Diet Coke machine runs out after the 33rd refill.
And okay, for real, I’m sorry but we cannot accommodate a request to substitute your Potato Oles for endless breadsticks. This is a taco johns, not Olive Garden, sir.

Can you explain how I once ordered a sandwich at Subway and was informed it would cost MORE because I requested NOT to have one of the menu ingredients? Supposedly using less product is grounds for charging more because it was a "specialty sandwich".ousdahl wrote: ↑Wed Mar 04, 2020 1:00 pmSir, you’re welcome to request a refill. Anybody see that Kentucky fans were slinging the N-word at UT fans after the game and trying to get in fights with UT fans while leaving? Great fan base, right?
