There could be an additional big hire for the OC / Head Coach in Waiting but if Kansas hires Miles it will be Head Coach.

shindig wrote: Tue Nov 06, 2018 9:49 am For boosters like Booth, Doeren's buyout is probably considered loose change.
Doeren's position at NC State took a pretty big hit last night against Wake Forest.

Might be able to get him a bit cheaper now.

NC State likely wins out though and finishes 9-3.

Yes they definitely should. But without they choked it away last night against a 2nd string QB, you never know.

Doeren is still a top 3 guy for me.

Do think it's a 4 man race between:
Miles
Littrell
Doeren
Dark Horse: Todd Graham, former Arizona State HC.

KC Star article says ESPN’s Scott Van Pelt and Fox Sports’s Tim Brando want Miles to go to KU. Says Brando knows Miles, having called games with him before.

You know what would be cool. If fired Beaty beats KSU and sends Bill Snyder off to retirement.
Me I would take Littell off that list. Miles reminds me of Charlie too much, Doeren turned down Tenn last year just don't see it. Graham trying to resurrect his career, that might be all right.

Louisville fired Petrino.
Please tell me we won't pick him up.

Miles is a vegan.

He'll fit right in.

Half a banana, a handful of walnuts and some Pom juice. That's a healthy snack, DC.

I'd rather have a pound of bacon.

1.5 oz. of nuts in a daily diet are associated with improved overall health.

btw, most nuts include essential bacon extracts. Naturally.

so, it's a win-win.

Yeah there wasn't anyway Long was hiring Durkin.

I do think that Kansas will have a new head coach by first part of next week.

Still think my top 4 from Friday is still there...

Miles - Duh. Success and will be a stabilizer for the next coach in 6-7 years. No NCAA issues and would give program juice.

Littrell - Big name. Big success so far. Former KU GA in Mangino's years. Gotten better every year.

Doeren - KC guy. Former DC at KU. Has done well at Northern Illinois and NC State.
Graham - 95-61 at Rice, Tulsa, Pitt and Arizona State. Kind of a different guy, but has been successful everywhere.

I don't know much for sure, but I know that Charlie Weis is NOT a vegan.

I'd say the similarity is in managing to take colleges for more money than they possibly merit--both Charlie and Les seem to excel at that.

Miles is way over the hill and he's insane.

Please explain this lazy comparison further.
