Confusion, drama around KU football signing day...
Mike Brown at the Tulsa World (@MikeBrownTW) tweeted that Potter showed up to signing day wearing a KSU hoodie...so he's either trolling KSU really hard or still going to KSU.
Now official. Signed with KU.

KU got every single big target they wanted to get for this February signing period.
This is a huge day for the program. They did extremely well.

Except for the rush of juco kids in the early signing period the majority of these guys are high schoolers. Les and his staff put in WORK on this class.

Gavin Potter signed, per Les Miles. Holy shit, boys. Who cares about basketball, lol. This 2 hrs of signing day has been more exciting than the last five KU basketball games (save for the TTU beat down).
Yeah he trolled big time.
Yesterday, posted a picture of him in a Tech jersey and said signing tomorrow.
Then showed up in a kstate hoodie today.
Then signed with Kansas.

We’re getting every one I wanted. Hard work by the staff.

19 in the class all together. All on scholarship according to Les. So don't know exactly how that will work out, if he'll blueshirt anyone or if anyone is leaving.
Les at his presser was going over game film of the recruits with media members and explaining why exactly they recruited each guy. Definitely cool to see.

Man, KU fans still hold a grudge against Cliff Alexander.

No revoking. Should make a great safety or bulk up to be a LB. Look at that speed and pop.

Agreed. I didn't like the whole sweatshirt thing. But I liked his interview afterward. Saying the biggest mistake OU and oSu had was letting him leave the state. Kid has a huge chip on his shoulder. Plays like it. Can bring some swagger and toughness to a defense. I like this kid's attitude. He'll get a few personal fouls each year, and I'm perfectly fine with that. He's an aggressive SOB.

Think he could be a perfect replacement for Bryce Torneden in that hybrid Safety/LB role.

That play at 0:45. Ok, he can stay.

Currently 64th best class per rivals. We're slightly ahead of Texas Tech and only 3 behind KSU. Amazing class considering who we had like 3 months ago....1 dude!...and who was left to recruit. ...and mostly high schoolers! Had Beaty still been here I doubt we would have 5 high school kids signed. Just a masterful job by Less and co. Just wait to see what a full year recruiting will do.

No problem having a kid who might be kind of a douche bag if he behaves off the field and produces on the field. Sometimes it helps to have douche bags on your team.
As far as his OU and OSU comment, I get it. He's bitter and probably would have preferred to play for one of those schools. Keep that chip on your shoulder kid and prove them wrong!
Isn't it nice to look forward to a KU Football season and believe KU football might actually have a bright future?
