Gotta remember that bookies want to make money and limit losses.
That being said, as much as I have on Crimson and Blue glasses nothing short of playing Sister Mary and the School of the Blind should a win for KU be guaranteed. As much progress as I believe this team has made and will make currently they are far from a polished product.
Also of interesting note...PFF has Macvittie the 110 ranked QB out of 130 FBS 'starting' QBs. Skylar Thompson comes in at 58.

Too bad we can't play Rutgers again.

Man, how good was that feeling of the rout of Rutgers last year?
I would like that same feeling in a conference game.

Just once and I'd be alright.

I would argue that the blowout of CMU last year was better than the Rutgers game.

Interesting that a 65 year old coach has brought more energy to this program compared to a 48 year old who tried to be as hip as possible. Beaty had a forced energy, Les brings an unintentional level of swagger and energy to this team.
Granted some of that is the success Les has had, but it's still good to see a team that is having fun (in football settings and not at Dave and Busters) when there hasn't been much of anything in the past 10 years that has been fun.

They are becoming easily the most hated college sports team in the grand scope of things. Basketball has Duke but Kentucky is right there with them, but football has Ohio State and 2nd place isn't close.

For me, it's close.
Ohio State leads with Michigan on their heels.
I don't hate Alabama. I don't hate Notre Dame like most.

Michigan doesn't seem to have the pure self-absorbed persona like Ohio State does. Doesn't seem close. Michigan is fine to me. Pretty indifferent with them.

When I was in NYC, I lived around a lot of Michigan alum.
They frequented the sports bars.
During football season it was pure self-absorbed entitlement -- probably what a lot of people think of Duke, Kentucky, UNC and Kansas basketball fans.

The energy and enthusiasm is definitely there. That much is needed coming from the previous regime that had a lot of smoke but zero fire. At the end of the day would you rather trust? A guy whose calling card was developing Mike Evans or a guy who has a Natty ring that he won in the toughest conference in CFB.
Some of this is the honeymoon phase. The 'backup qb' effect. The real test will be what kind of energy and enthusiasm will this team have during the middle part of October and November.

“Backup QB” effect.
For that analogy to work, Beaty is a poor man’s Elvis Grbac and Les is MVP Rich Gannon.

Duke is easily #1 even if you hate Kentucky. The shoe stuff solidified that. And, at least for me and even some other KU fans, Kentucky is nowhere near the top. Have a lot of respect for the program and I personally really like Calipari. Duke, though, is in everyone’s top 2.
EveRy place has annoying fans but Dook and tOSU FB is easily hateable for anyone as programs. UMich is a wounded dog and not a lot to really hate as far as program/school go.

Most hated for me is ND.
No conference, yet TV coverage from a major network.
Second is pedophile U.

I will say this. Ohio State will only be slightly more likeable without that twat Urban Meyer on the sidelines.
But I still want them to lose everytime they play a school not named Missouri.

Listened to 580 today, and they had a former Miles player on. He sold me on our new coach.
