I hate them. Absolute least favorite sandwich.

I also don't like mushrooms.

You all sound like the I can’t stand cilantro group. Deplorables. All of you.

Agree, but there will be some weirdo that can’t stand it...similar to the anti-reuben crowd you run in.

Cilantro is awesome. Thw only people that dont like it are people the with imbalance or enzyme or whatever it is that makes cilantro taste like soap.

There are very few things I don't like other than sweets, ketchup is included in sweets.

Liver, except the fancy fattened duck or goose liver that I rarely get to eat. That stuff is allsome.
Can't deal with plain yogurt or buttermilk, just tastes rotten to me. Same with super-stinky French cheese. I can't think of a veggie I don't like. I love mushrooms of all kinds with the possible exception of shiitake. Oysters, okra, lima beans, eggplant, tripe, sweetbreads, gizzards, tacos de cabeza, bring it on. I tried natto once, can't do that stuff.

jhawks99 wrote: Thu Jun 04, 2020 8:09 pm I love a good reuben. Pumpernickle, not "marble rye" what ever that is. Russian dressing. Of course kraut, corned beef and swiss.

I had one out of a little bodega in NYC, served open face. Great sammich and enough for two meals.
I agree about marble rye and love Reubens, but there are no good ones around here.

I mean, if we're talking about what I would choose to eat, Im pickier than some. But, Ive been in enough scenarios where you eat whats on the plate or you dont eat that Ive learned to eat things I wouldnt necessarily choose. My grandparents all went through the great depression and you did not waste food around them.

Speaking of sandwiches and mayo....when my dad was a child just after the war and times were hard my grandfather often left the meat for the kids and took a mayo and mustard sandwich to work. He hit us with that story everytime we didnt want to eat what was served.

Unrelated, many of the templates and jigs that were used for decades making beechcraft parts were invented and created by my grandfather(who was machinist at beechcraft for 45 years) but since he used them at beechcraft they were able to secure the patent and he was not.

Enough rambling and back to sandwiches, if ya havent tried it,an elk tenderloin sandwich is almost unbeatable.

Since it’s morning time, what about breakfast sandwiches?

Being where I am, and having so many places with delicious bfast burritos for $2-3 everyday, I’ll take two of those, no matter the daily flavor.

If booth the bologna and yellow cheese are government grade, does that make better?

And if we're considering something like a cucumber mayo sandwich or a banana mayo sandwich as candidates, those are very low on the list as well.

I served a ton of those little cucumber sandwiches. No mayo though. Super thin slices of bread, cream cheese, cucumber and either dill or water cress. Not bad. Not sure I could handle banana mayo.

That's some good background. Tip o' the cap to your grandfather. He sounds like a he** uva man.

But, yeah. You're on the pickier side.
