KU football just can’t win, both literally and figuratively

1- You keep Self happy
2- You keep Self happy
3- You keep Self happy
4- You deal with football

I'm not saying the new AD should ignore football, I'm saying get an AD who can hang his hat on something he does very well, much like our university: BASKETBALL.

Use that experience to breathe some life into football and get a young head coach to hand the reigns to. I'd love to see someone like Emmett get a shot if he wants it.

I’m feeling that if we had more confidence that Les was going to get the job done that he wouldn’t have a chance to be gone from allegations from years ago.

But we went winless last season...so his job wasn’t the most locked down of seats.

Emmitt Jones or Josh Eargle will be the interim coach. That part is not known. And then they will do a national search once season is wrapping up to determine if interim gets to be permanent or they hire outside.

If that is the case then Jeff Long shouldn't be more than two minutes after him. He is just as guilty as less or more.

KU football. What a clown show.

KC Star has a write-up outlining the “for cause” case and the clauses in Les’ contract, if it comes to that

All the beat writers have their story saved to their drafts. Just waiting on official word from KU.

Even Matt Tait is somewhat acknowledging it on twitter. Someone mentioned Clint Bowen to him and he said wouldn't count on it.

Hire Eric Bienemy.

Fire Long and Les, in that order.

Promote Jones and Eargle, in that order to interim HCs. Hire a search committee to find the new HC. I would love to see them take a look at Mark D’Antonio.

Jeff Monken. Lance Leipold. First 2 names you call.

KU would be a step down for Monken. Maybe not such a big step down from Army but he could and should be offered a much better job than the KU gig.
To me, that's a big part of the problem. It's not going to be easy to get a guy who is "hot" because there will be competition for him and while KU offers someone a job to coach at a Big 12 school, let's be honest - it very well may be one of the worst if not the worst "power 5" job.

which is why i’m convinced it’s gonna have to be an up-and-comer from a non-P5 conference

it should be obvious to everyone that old ball retreads aren’t the answer

I'm getting older and I guess out of touch with the "let's ruin this person next" crowd, but if Les is hitting on college students, that arent employed by the athletic department, that makes him an asshole but shouldn't affect his career as a coach.

If he was legitimately, key word legitimately, harassing staff, that's a different story.

Its years ago.
It's all alleged.
But I dont think Les will get us to .500 and Long hasn't done much so if hes gone, so be it.

Was just about to post that. Dellenger has been the closest to Miles besides his family over last 3-4 years. But he’s completely right.

If Les was taking his staff to their apartments and trying to kiss them, yes, should be fired from LSU.

What does that have to do with KU?
Did he do that while employed at KU?

I agree to an extent. At a certain point, this is just another instance. He had something similar at oSu with getting girls to attract recruits and then now at LSU. It’s not strictly an LSU problem for him, his a personal problem.

This is who he is, not where he was.

What is has to do with KU is that he is currently employed by KU. I know that's not really a clear answer but what people have done in the past often has a bearing on how they are perceived in the present.
I don't know what if any role PAST transgressions play in the hiring and firing of employees and how it pertains to standards and codes of conduct at KU but it's really not a good look for the University to have hired a guy who has a history of "misconduct" involving female students.
