Whoa, same boat.

Of course, I'll eat anything if it's offered and put in front of me. Sometimes the old classic Lay's can hit the spot, especially at a paper-plated cookout.
Always preferred Ruffles to Lays.

What's goddamned terrible are "kettle" style chips.
I like Ruffles and kettle. Not really into Pringles, though. We're in a fight now.

Just watched a show about the guy (Lay) that came up with the chips, their production and marketing. He reached out to the guy that bought the recipe for fritos ($100!, from a guy that just wanted to move back to Mexico) and then developed the mechanics of mass producing them.

Thus began the massive enterprise that dominate the snack industry. Can't throw a ham in the chip aisle w/o hitting their product...

How 'bout that?
I think that guy has a KC connection.

How about Dot's pretzels? Yowza those go down easy (and are insanely expensive).

Yeah, I should clarify that I’ll eat almost anything that’s served to me or available at a gathering. Just wouldn’t buy/make that stuff myself.

Beets are about the only thing you can fuck off with.

Would make sense--I'm definitely not creative enough to come up with that myself.

Pringles are not chips....they are chip-like potato-based........ “product”

Stacey’s Pita chips are awesome, speaking of chips.....

Stacey’s are good. More robust than potato chips, which makes them good for dipping.

Dot’s are really good pretzels. I suppose they are pricey for pretzels tho.

Mitch Hedberg had a good bit about Pringle’s. “I think they’re the most laid back company ever. Cuz they started out as a tennis ball company. They had all the containers, but on the first day of business, instead of tennis balls they got potatoes instead. But since they’re laid back they just said, fuck it, cut em up!”

Pringles are reinterpreted potato chips for children who grew up around silos. I love to imagine what is in them besides potatoes. Their sodium level is magical.

I like pringles when I go camping.
Protected from getting crunched when packed and you can just slam those things down and not worry about the inevitable chip mess.

Let's get back to gluten free. So I just grilled a couple bone-in porkchops (no marinade because I ran out, but used some black peppercorn). Then as a side I made a spinach salad, with broccoli, green onions and stalks and carrots. No crutons since I ran out (love me the Olive Garden croutons and dressing), and of course no dressing, just some organic olive oil (boring, tasteless salad).

Probably one of the blandest grilling experiences ever. Now I need a chocolate chip cookie.
