this guy gets it ... read the whole thing, it's not political party/person specific. Speaks to life styles, written by a retired US special ops guy as a possible Talban point of view

You recruit your warriors and supporters from a drug addicted, distracted, disillusioned population that’s obsessed with comfort and entertainment. A population obsessed with altering their mundane reality. Alcohol, marijuana, pills, and our new favorite -- Tide Pods. Every time your doctors prescribe opiate painkillers, you line our coffers with gold. Your population’s thirst for our pristine heroin has never been more lucrative for our warrior tribes. We will keep feeding you poison for as long as you keep your hands out.

wow

I wish Trump supporters were as upset about our Capital being attacked as they are about Afghanistan's.

I'm glad Trump and Biden got us out of there. But the execution was piss poor based on bad assumptions, just like 20 years ago.

On the political side, the difference between Biden and Trump is that Biden at least implicitly is admitting he fucked up by sending in more troops than what we had taken out just to get people safely out of there - he is course-correcting instead of doubling down on mistakes like Trump always did.

It'd be nice if that admission was explicit. Would have been even nicer to actually listen to the right people on military issues in Afghanistan so as to not fuck up so bad in the first place.

Whataboutism- the technique or practice of responding to an accusation or difficult question by making a counteraccusation or raising a different issue.

As you can see, that is not what I did at all. I am merely pointing out the lack of consistency in the behavior of Trump supporters as a way to point out that perhaps their responses to both situations are not genuine and are instead politically motivated.

Nice try.

We are talking about things related to the current situation in Afghanistan. You say "what about January 6th!" and "what about all that golf Trump played!".

Whataboutism.

Biggest obstacle America’s “woke” military has today is trying to figure out how to defeat our enemies without hurting their feelings.🙂
