For some reason, I remember reading that was going to change this year.

I recall something between 6 and 8 games, but if I'm not mistaken they never actually went ahead and made the change... Not certain though

I think you are correct. I see articles where it was discussed but nothing that it was actually proposed or voted on. The ncaa site still says that if you play even a second of D1 hoops then you cannot redshirt.

And not loose eligibility toward a redshirt

I didn’t see the game but the most impressive and important stat is the FT percentage. Hopefully it’ll hold up and a sign of things to come
