Tourney site oddities:
Since 1993, KU has never missed a New Orleans Final Four.
KU is now 6-0 in NCAA Tournament games played in Chicago.

Catching a few breaks lately is why a Kansas team that isn't one of Bill Self's best could win the NCAA title

He seems to be factoring in NBA careers to that. I don't think 2014 comes close to being as good as this team is.

Making a final four does wonders for a team's legacy. A few months ago many of us were pretty down on this team's roster/talent.

We were talking about this last week.
Parrish mentions the teams I did.
( 08, 10, 11, 16, 17, 20 - at the least - then you got your 12's, 18's and 07's )
We can't include 14 though I think we woulda gotten by Stanford with Embiid.
This isn't a top 5 team of Self's.
But don't matter.
'bout time the flaws of the tournament gave back.

Injuries suck. Peaking at the right time does not suck.
And of course the tournament matters a ton for legacy. Every team is ultimately judged by their performance there.

Can't wait to hear K bitch again about how all this attention on his last year is putting added pressure on his kids and how he wishes there was some way that all could have been avoided.
Oh, cripes. Yeah. That's comin', too. "This game is about these kids, and how hard they work..." <puke>
At least it’s not about these keeeds.

Saturday games are on TBS
Monday game is on CBS
I assume the games will be on all 4 tourney channels, or at least 3 of them.
You'll have your standard broadcast, then your "Home team" broadcast like they've done the last couple years.
They gonna have a Coach K cam this year too? Haha

A few months ago, Remy was not playing at all let alone playing like this. It's a completely different team with him playing like this. Frankly, it's exactly the team we thought we'd have in the offseason when Remy first announced he was coming to KU and everyone felt like it was a Final Four contender.

Kansas was so close to getting this done last week but now it looks like this morning's committee meeting killed any chance of getting it done in 2022. Meanwhile, Missouri is more than likely going to get their bill passed. Sucks.

Yeah, even decent writers accidentally wander from "best teams" to "most individually talented teams" by mistake. 2014 was absolutely not better than this team.

I’m not sure why, 1. I turn on morning ESPN news programs at all. But, 2. It’s amazing they are still talking about the NFL 86% and NBA 14%. And oh yeah, 3. KC sports radio is pretty bad.

I watched espn most of the day yesterday and they spent WAY more time on NFL and NBA playoff race stuff.
College basketball just doesn't get as much play as the other sports.
I wonder how different ESPN coverage of the tournament would be if it was on their family of networks instead of CBS.

Where are you hearing from that the Missouri Senate is likely to pass sports betting? I know the House passed 2 identical bills to current Senate bills that are being discussed, but I think there is an uphill battle in the Senate with the casinos having big beef with both bills. i.e. they aren't happy with their cut and some of the pork attached to the bills regarding slot machines (I believe).
Would obviously love for it to pass and hope that the Senate will.

They cover more than enough college football even in the offseason. It’s college basketball that doesn’t get enough coverage, even in the real thick of the tournament. On Sunday the Top 10 plays had nothing from the E8 games but had one from semipro lacrosse!!
