There's definitely a right way and a wrong way to get to a point.

Sanders seems to be going about it the wrong way.

Thankful more and more every day we have Leipold.

In my mind, Lance Leipold isn't handing bags to kids like other coaches ( cough cough Bill Self ).
Still got D3 on his mind.

Yeah. He seems very much a "Let's get the kids on campus and I'll coach them" He doesn't seem too concerned with the other stuff.

But then again, it's KU football. If he were at Alabama or LSU, it'd be a different story.

I didn't know where to put mine either. I figured this was as good a spot as any.

What are you guys talking about. Kicking everyone off the team is a great rebuilding strategy. It worked for Charlies Weis.

it's actually what coach tang did in basketball last year without all the fanfare yet to outstanding results.

i guess tied for 3rd in conference and an e8 loss to a 9 seed is 'outstanding' if you're you.

Tang lost a guy who got further in the NCAA tourney than State. And it was a really down year dominated by 6 year guys with a small roster. Tang had a few guys he brought in with him like Huggy. We'll see what happens next year on his way somewhere else.

I still wish State would give Weis that ring opportunity he missed.

who did tang lose that got further in the tournament?

as to a down year, uconn was very good. be glad you lost to arky.

is 'next year' this coming season? because if tang gets a couple guards he's after, state will be very good again in 2023-24 season. it's just so quiet presently.

If what Tang did at K-State is the same as what Sanders is doing at CU, I’m glad it was pointed out. It’s gross no matter where it’s going doing.

I don’t believe most athletes go to school for their diploma first, but if we are still applying a student athlete tag on them, I don’t think a new coach should be able to just come clean house of kids that may have chosen to go to school their first, and play ball as a secondary reason. Something just is way off to me in all of this.

I forgot that Nijel Pack never played at KSU. My bad. HoF coach Self wasn't able to coach in post season making it a down year for the tourney.

you think self didn't send near half his roster packing after this past season?

Please don’t quote my posts. I wasn’t meaning to talk shit on K-State, but rather the system itself.

I think you rarely add anything of value here. I saw this post, and actually thought it helped me in finding more examples of what I feel is a gross system.

I’ll answer your assertion about Self. He probably told a few they should leave, but I know they were not shut out like CU players were. I doubt Tang treated the KSU players coldly, either, from what I’ve seen I’d him.

ah, a little religious bigotry slips into the conversation. you're not into faith-based programs?
