nobody can argue the losing arguement with more professionalism than the fish. it's impressive the conviction he puts into arguing the losing side.

If someone can quit their job instead of doing something they don't want to do, by its nature the thing isn't a mandate (in the way you so desperately want it to be).
Right. I'm not saying each and every Covid measure was "right". I just want to have a conversation about real things that actually exist. Not fantasies concocted on 8CHAN.
I agree that issuing executive orders limiting the size of gatherings in public places like bars, restaurants, nightclubs and even beaches was a reasonable thing to do, particularly early in Covid when we didn't really understand it.

He just backed off and reopened way before everyone else did. All his actions were backed by science, just not backed by fauccis politics. Desant8s consulted a pretty impressive panel of experts who didn't have a political agenda at play
Though Dr. Ladapo has acknowledged that vaccines are highly effective at preventing hospitalization and death, he said in October that “adverse reactions” to vaccines should receive more attention and urged people to “stick with their intuition and their sensibilities.”
Equally troubling for his critics was Dr. Ladapo’s failure to reject more fringe views on virus treatments, including the drugs hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin. He joined Mr. DeSantis in clamoring for the federal government to supply some monoclonal antibody treatments even after they had been deemed ineffective against the Omicron variant, which dominated caseloads.
“To say he’s out of the mainstream would be an understatement,” said Dr. Ashish K. Jha, dean of the Brown University School of Public Health. “His views are not only very unorthodox — they don’t make any sense.”

“I am very concerned that the state is not getting the best science and the best public health information,” said Dr. J. Glenn Morris Jr., the director of the [University of Florida's] Emerging Pathogens Institute. “There’s not the sense of the development of a public health strategy that goes beyond politics.”
[...]
Other actions by Dr. Ladapo have also baffled public health experts.
He rewrote guidelines during the surge of the Omicron variant to discourage asymptomatic people who were not at high risk from getting tested — though infected people can spread the virus even without symptoms. He argued that testing was most valuable for people who might need treatment.
And he refused to wear a mask when he visited State Senator Tina Polsky, a Democrat, though she had asked him to, citing a serious health condition that she later revealed to be breast cancer. He said he meant no disrespect but did not apologize.
I'll leave it to you fascists to put a positive spin on governors banning books, using tax payer's money to punish corporations that don't agree with them, voter suppression, and being a despicable person.randylahey wrote: ↑Tue May 16, 2023 9:32 am Feral why not make a real thread about him for open discussion? So basically the state of Florida had very similar numbers despite taking a totally different approach with significantly more freedom
So basically all the regulations were pointless. Good point

P.S. I'm trying to figure out how your creating this thread didn't welcome open discussion.
My hope is decent people will continue to be "incredibly biased" in regards to the shit DeSantis has done, is doing, and wants to do.
