True. KU has established themselves as one of the top spenders in CBB.

Although some would say we always were, just with Adidas doing to payroll until recently.

At first, I didn't understand your post. I thought you were saying he was ranked #3 in the ESPN Top 100.
Now I get that you meant he is the 3rd player they got who is/was ranked in the ESPN top 100.
Good for BYU. :? Meanwhile, fuck 'em. ;)
Sucks for Purdue? Or did they get someone else who they would rather have than him?

He used them. And they used him.

He was never their #1 choice. They knew he wasn't leaving UConn to move to LA. They knew JJ was their coach for months.

CLAIMS he was torn. The question becomes what is "torn"? 50/50? 25/75? I'm guess closer to 25/75.

I don't think he was torn at all. I think if it were the New York Knicks he'd have been torn.

I also think he'd have taken the Knicks job if offered to him....which it will be in the next 2-3 years.

Cooper Flagg is probably the #1 "trending" basketball player in the world right now.
17 year old has been holding his own against the best basketball players in world.
I like him. Shame I and most of the college basketball fans in the country will be rooting against his success from November 2024 to April 2025 because of the team he will play for.
I can't help but wonder how many teams will make the effort to trade up to draft him #1.
