Costco does not sell limited quantities of eggs and also is a fee for service platform.

Yesterday in Costco I purchased an 18 count pack of eggs, price worked out to 25 cents per egg. (Plus we get a 4% rebate back every year which more than pays for our executive membership fee.)

But it's also a good example of what I fully expect to happen: a heavy-handed federal intervention in the market (classically conservative, that!) that supports a "SEE, egg prices are down!" talking point (never you mind that a box of strawberries will cost $11.99 in part because subsidies are moved from strawberry farmers to egg producers).

And I might add: a troll is a person who posts deliberately offensive or provocative messages online[1] (such as in social media, so I believe that calling someone a troll is “name calling “, imo.

Eggs are up this week. The 5.99 ones, the cheapest, were not available. Only the 7.99 eggs.

It's probably due to Costco's DEI initiatives.
