That is one of the most obvious reasons why the systemic racism narrative is a narrative and not reality.
You have posted many moronic things (as have I) but this might be your academy award winning performance.
Seriously, how did you come to that conclusion from Illini's post and what the fuck is wrong with you?

The people who are pointing and screaming racism against the police for arresting/shooting blacks, they are stumped when you tell them that black police also arrest and shoot them.

The really dangerous thing that is happening because of all this "defund police"... "systemic racism" nonsense is that you're going to see fewer and fewer people want to be police.

Not trying to excuse that kind of rhetoric, but did any of that rhetoric incite any actual violence?
You can't be serious...
Totally serious.

Are you cherry picking some random dumb sound bites and trying to equate that to what Trump and the magaheads did to the Capitol?
Of course not. I am not sure how something can be compared to that (as far as mind blowing magnitude of shocking).

The topic of discussion was rhetoric and divisiveness from political figures leading to violence.

Just because something isn't equal to the Capitol building being stormed doesn't mean it gets a free pass.

You know, it's possible to think both are wrong. That's where i am at with it.

Ok, now I will be respectful.

BIG difference/s between arresting a Black person (by the book) who has broken the law and deserves to be arrested - and simply shooting them out of malice or assumption/s based on the color of their skin.
Don't get me wrong, some/many of the victims probably deserved their plight but SOME/MANY/MOST(?) did not.

How do you feel about the some/many BLACK people who "are pointing and screaming racism against the police for arresting/shooting blacks"? Fuck 'em? You know better than they do. Right? Or wrong?
Do you actually speak with and listen to them and try and understand their reasoning for feeling the way they do?

Do you not believe that "profiling" exists?

Since you have expressed numerous times that you feel "systemic racism" doesn't exist, I ask - do you understand what people feel systemic racism really is - and the different facets in which they feel it exists?

Ehh. I think there is definitely systemic racism that exists. But that's a whole other topic.

It's like saying racism is dead because we had a black president. I don't think racism is dead. I do think it is less frequently occuring nowadays, but i also think it is a different kind of racism existing in todays world. Less easily identifiable in some instances.

I disagree. IMO, racism is more than alive and well.

Of course it does, but the black police are also profiling against black men. Why? Because they commit more crime.

America just cannot handle the truth that there are serious problems in black communities that exist, and they were not caused from systemic racism. They were created because of government "solutions" that ended up causing way more harm than good. When people do not have an incentive to change, they often won't. Take away government money and things will improve dramatically. We're seeing even fewer people want to work right now at entry level jobs because the government is offering a better deal to stay home.

Alive and well for sure.

As bad as it was 30 years ago and before? Seems doubtful. But like i said it changes. Racism now is much more discreet and secretive for many. Of course there are still vocally racists. But the discreet ones can usually quickly be identified on social media.

I have seen what i thought were otherwise good people say some dumb racist shit on Facebook (that they don't even realize is racist). I just can't fuck with people like that. I don't speak or see a good portion of my moms side of her family anymore. And even my mom is not as close with them anymore. Its sad.

We can disagree on a lot of things. But i can't tolerate hatefulness for no reason.

You don't think some of the things that have happened to republican political figures /members of congress(or police officers) due to the rhetoric of political figures on the left are significant?

I think both are dangerous.

In hindsight, it probably isn't any more dangerous to the public to let the guy drive off and then go arrest him later vs. firing 14 shots at his car but that's for the "police reform" discussion. Stuff like this simply doesn't need to happen.
Wonder if you'd (not just you, but in general about cops should just let people/criminals*? go if they try to get away) feel the same way if they let him speed off and in his attempt to flee the officers he ran a stop sign and hit your kids walking home from school and killed them?

But i am with you, there has to be a better way. All those cops and he still had a chance to drive off? Block his ass in or at least have a plan. Sometimes i think they just run up on them with no gameplan.

My brother in law is ATF. He said when they do raids they have a gameplan. They know who is supposed to do what and go into with a detailed plan of attack.
I'd feel the same as if one of those 14 bullets shot by the police hit my child and they died. I'd feel the same way that the family of Brown feels as they mourn the death of their family member. Sad.

It doesn't change the fact that I think the police need to reevaluate their responses to things such as this. Which is more likely to result in a death of any human; him speeding away and the police arresting him later or the police firing 14 shots towards the car?

That's so ridiculous.

I consider the GI Bill to be one of the most impactful items in our nation's last century. It fundamentally changed our nation, sending millions of people to college and granting the opportunity for returning WWII vets to buy homes.

Feel free to read more about the differences between what was available to white veterans and their families compared to what was available to black veterans and their families.

After my grandfather was killed in service during WWII, it was the GI Bill that paid for both my grandmother and my mother to attend college and it was the GI Bill that allowed them to buy their first home. That base of stability to grow wealth and opportunity was not made available to millions of black veterans and their spouses and children. That is the very definition of systemic racism. Take a few moments and educate yourself a bit, please. Here's a few links; a simple search will get you to much more.
