Juwan howard has on multiple occasions had to be separated from trying to fight other coaches. I can't think of anything like it. He takes no accountability for his own actions. He's basically a hoodrat giving a head coaching position. I don't give a shit if they fire him or not. But its hard to defend why you wouldn't fire him

My worthless take....
Howard was 100% wrong for how he reacted but Gard and Krabbenhoft aren't 100% free from blame.
Best video of the altercation.....
Michigan AD Warde Manuel apologized in response.
"There is no excuse for any of our staff or student-athletes to get into a physical altercation with others regardless of instigating factors," Manuel said in a statement. "I reached out and apologized to [Wisconsin administration] for the totally unacceptable behavior. We will review the situation more thoroughly and work with the Big Ten Conference as they determine their disciplinary actions and will determine if any further disciplinary actions are needed.
Wisconsin athletic director Chris McIntosh, who addressed the media after the game, said he has been in contact with Big Ten commissioner Kevin Warren about the incident and expects the league to act "swiftly and aggressively".
"We've got staff who have been affected and injured," he said. "It's difficult for me to compose myself in defense of our staff and our team, who did not instigate this event. That is clearly captured on the television feed today and I'm not sure what will take long to address this."

Theres just nothing really to compare it to. A coach starting a fight that get his team involved in a scrum that could've gotten a lot worse. But luckily the players on both sides were more level headed than Howard. Also there were about a dozen people trying to separate Howard when he decided to take a swing.
The guy embarrassed himself. And not for the first time. Hard to defend why he should be paid to be an example and leader for young men
Weird comparison. Mark few makes 2 million a year. He can afford an Uber. Getting a dui was pretty fucking stupid too

Michigan suspending him rest of regular season. Random note I saw this morning. Big Ten maximum suspension they can give out is 2 games. Obviously, school can do more if they please.

If he got that pissed about another coach touching him, how's Howard gonna feel about his school suspending him for that long (3 games?..4? not sure how many they had left) for something he seemed to think he wasn't in the wrong about?

The ridiculous thing to me is how pretty much no one notices immediately after Howard said "don't touch me" - Howard put his hand on Gard's chest and then grabbed his shirt/jacket. To me, Gard showed restraint.

"It's disrespectful to touch me"
Here's my finger a quarter inch in front of your nose.

I hate overreactions on punishment for these things. I hate even more if the public mob forces someone to alter their decision. Make your choice, fake the faux heat for a week, move on.
Suspended for the rest of the regular season, which is what, four games, seems right. Can he coach in the post?

He can coach post season. What was so controversial about Wiscky's timeout though? Have not seen that reported.

And then smacked someone who didn't touch him.
He's perfect Michigan material maybe? He'd have been fired 24hrs ago at a lot of places.

This is my issue. He made such a big deal about Grad coaching to the end, yet he had his team pressing with 15 seconds left. All Grad did was call a timeout to reset the 10 count (which I thought didn't reset anyway).
