it's a much smaller list when you pare it down to those who accomplished it in back to back years. I think....the list is currently...4? 5?

Awful time to have your best player get injured and you to miss basically everything you shoot.

Impressed they got back to game 7 but it’s time for a real coach.

I’d prefer they resign Jaylen but I get it if they don’t. He shoots ( and turns it over ) games away.

He’s talented.
When he wants to he can play good defense.
But he often can’t get out of his own way when he’s cold because he just keeps barreling into traffic, get stripped and/or tossing up terrible shots.

I don't understand it. For a smart guy, he doesn't play smart. I can't help but wonder if/when his frustrations and lack of team success may cause him to want to walk away from the game. The man doesn't need to play basketball to be successful in life.

I guess lack of team success is relative.
I think the Celtics have made the last 6 of 7 Eastern Conference Finals.
That’s decent.

This was the year they shoulda done it.
Ime Udoka shoulda known better.

Yeah if you want to blame anyone for the Celtics "early exit" its udoka. Mazzula was in over his head. I wouldn't do anything drastic with their core, they've been consistently knocking on the door. Just go out and get a coach

I can only think of 3, off the top of my head. Bill Russell, Magic Johnson and Billy Thompson……the first two had important roles in the NBA championship…….can’t remember how much Thompson played on that Lakers team, which was loaded.

Braun will play a significant role (although not a dominant role) if Denver was to win

Henry Bibby was the 4th with UCLA and then the Knicks. Fuck that guy for having a son who stole an ncaa title from our 97 team.

if we DON'T pare the accomplishment down to back-to-back years, that then includes Mario's college teammates BRush and Sasha, too!

speaking of, that reminds me of a thread I've been meaning to start...

Speaking of trivia, if I am not mistaken, the home team won just one game in the Heat - Celtics series. I bet that's never happened in a 7 game series

No, two, not one, forgot about game 3.

I would still guess that's never happened

Nice of the NBA to punish Grizz players and their fans for Ja's actions.

I mean, they are punishing Ja.
The aftermath is what you're talking about.

He is a moran.
But i'll go a bit gutter here - do you think if say Christian Braun was seen in a couple videos sporting a hunting rifle and dancing around holding a Coors Light, he'd be suspended for 25 games?

True. I suppose the word punishing is relative.
My including fans and his teammates (as well as ownership) was because I was taking in to account all factors. I suppose the primary punishment is the money THEY potentially/possibly/probably/definitely lose by his being suspended.
It probably also hurts the league as well.
I wonder if every NBA contract has to include a player doesn't get paid for games he is suspended.
