Doesn't surprise me at all. The whole "those rioters and looters and anyone who supports them or even stands near them deserve whatever they get" seems to be a mindset approved by a startling number of people in the country.
Rioters and looters deserve to be arrested and prosecuted.
Because much of our legal system/s and law enforcement agencies are so broken in this country, they are not, and instead 17 year olds with AR-15s can take the law in to their own hands and shoot and kill them - and not even get so much as a slap on the wrist as punishment.
That's America 2021 Baby!
More than 14,000 people were arrested during the protests of 2020 but OK.

Is law enforcement really that broken, or are they just tired enough of the Woke Mob that they are standing back and saying, "Okay, let's see how you do, then."

Sour grapes around here are palpable. You all should go out and break some windows, set some fires, and throw some rocks. That'll show 'em!
Are there any reports of this? Or are you just showing your ass?

You're a smart man. You realize there is a difference between protesting and rioting and looting. Right?
I can all but promise you that 90%+ of rioters and looters who absolutely broke the law/s were NOT arrested and prosecuted.

Yes, I am aware of that and yes, I would bet that many people who committed vandalism during the unrest of 2020 were not caught or arrested. Whether it is 90% or not, I wouldn't hazard a guess. Maybe it just feels like that because of your unique vantage point in the place where you live.

No thanks, I don 't want to get shot by a 17 year old wanna-be.

It takes quite a piece of work to refer to dead bodies in the streets as “sour grapes”

Or to be openly gleeful at this result, generally.

You have a very valid point that where I live and what I have witnessed has a bearing on my feelings.
The double edged sword to me is that we now live in an era where police accountability is scrutinized and under a microscope (good thing) but at the expense of the police being afraid to and even told by their superiors not to "enforce the law".

I'm talking about all of your whining and complaining. Sour. Grapes.

You're right. Shame on me for being happy that a young man just starting out his life was able to avoid a lifetime in prison because a jury of his peers recognized which way the impartial evidence pointed and ruled accordingly. Weird.

Yeah, I have some sour grapes. Perhaps it may partially be because the person who shot and killed my best friend has never been caught nor held accountable.
Or maybe it's partially because I have an issue with a 17 year old being able to walk the streets during a "riot" with an AR-15 while PLAYING policeman (and FAKE "emt") - because he can - and can shoot people, get away with it, and live happily ever after.

I'm sorry about your friend.
Sounds like your quarrel is with the incompetent prosecution, who filed the wrong charges for the evidence.
