And there will be multiple articles this week written about it. On both sports sites and non.

If he needs to sit next week then sit him. I'd rather he be healthy than to play in a game and do permanent damage.

I think it should be up to him.
If he feels trepidation in playing/defers to the medical staff and they say no, of course, he sits.

But if he wants to play, you let him.

If doctors tell him that he has to sit no matter what and is out, I have no problem with it.
If he is given a say in it and he says he can't or won't go, I have no problem with it.
I am a Chiefs fan. It would just be added to my list of "what if" seasons and I'd start thinking about the off-season.

I am saying if he plays, there will be people up in arms about player safety, regardless of whether he is legit cleared.

Sit him.

If it's a minor concussion and he feels good to play, no, you play him.

That is kind of what I thought. He got schwacked in the back. His facemask was pushed to the ground. Hard hit.

Oh, agreed. Mostly Denver, Raiders and Patriots fans.

Fortunately we don't get a say in whether he plays or not and can speculate all we want consequence free.

Kelce said after the hit that knocked Mahomes out some Browns players were saying "That's what we do. That's what we do."

Agree to disagree.

Athletes through the years have fought through injuries, playing on broken legs, ankles, through severe flus, through concussions.

It is a persons decision to do the things he does. If the doctors say dont play and he agrees then no one should doubt his decision for a second. If they would hypothetically call him weak, fuck em, they are a-holes.

But if he wants to play, imo, that's his choice. Doesn't make me an a hole for thinking he can make that choice. And athletes have ignored advice for ages. Some in these moments have become heroes ( sports heroes ) for their grit.

I know its faux paux to believe in grit these days. I dont care. If hes not cleared, hes not cleared. If the doctors recommend his sitting out but leave the option open and Mahomes wants to play, he comes out and wins the AFC again, hes a badass.

Also 99 I may have read that wrong.
I thought you were calling us A Holes for leaving the choice up to him when you might have just been calling the Browns a holes.

I think a true football fan realizes that this is a generational talent and wish him well, regardless of other team loyalty.

Essentially the NFL’s concussion protocol is a five step process so do the math. Some of it will be based on the severity of the concussion but if he participates in practice in a limited fashion on Thursday and Friday and then in the walk through on Saturday he will go. Remember Mahomes has to be cleared by a third party neurologist. If he is cleared he will play. My guess, at least right now is that he plays.

It looked like to me that he might’ve pinched a nerve in his neck, thus the dizziness. It didn’t seem like much of a blow to the head.
