Uncle Joe
Re: Uncle Joe
For some reason, now that Trump is out of office, far fewer people seem to care about covid/covid deaths. Strange. Or maybe not.
Re: Uncle Joe
That's a pretty US-centric take.
The whole world is caring less about Covid. I don't attribute that to Trump.

Re: Uncle Joe
outside of the media. the drug companies. dr fauci. and the internet deviants and malcontents. the world stopped caring about a year ago.
they tried their best to keep it alive. but they just couldn't.

Re: Uncle Joe
your fellow americans that are still contracting it, being hospitalized because of it, and dying because of it, sure haven’t stopped caring
seriously, can you stop posting dumb shit for just one day? just one

Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

Re: Uncle Joe
It's as if multiple iterations of vaccines, additional knowledge of helpful treatments as well as a year and a half of additional scientific studies have taught us more about it. Strange indeed.BasketballJayhawk wrote: ↑Mon Sep 19, 2022 11:00 am For some reason, now that Trump is out of office, far fewer people seem to care about covid/covid deaths. Strange. Or maybe not.

People are still dying at a similar rate. And yet, no death ticker on the side of CNN. Nobody around here blaming the president. Or villifying the unvaxxed.
Strange indeed.

Re: Uncle Joe
like inflation, covid is not officially stomped out until james taylor plays a private show on the lawn of the white house for the big 4.
Re: Uncle Joe
If Illy and Mich were really serious about the understanding the issues they would realize that people still do care even though the problem is off the front pages. Thanks to the vaccination adoption and boosters far fewer people are ending up in ICU or worse. What happened to the flu over 60-70 years happened to SARS-CoV2 in two years. Yes people will contract the disease but the consequences are lot more manageable.
I guess today’s rant is topic du jour on right wing media.

Re: Uncle Joe
The daily average of deaths per day on Jan 21, 2021 (Biden's inauguration) was more than 3,000 deaths per day with more than 4,100 new deaths reported that particular day. On September 17th, the daily average was less than 500 per day with 22 new deaths reported that day. But don't let that completely not "similar rate" get in the way of a good rant. You should do a few google searches before you make such a ridiculous claim.BasketballJayhawk wrote: ↑Mon Sep 19, 2022 11:50 amAhh, that's why. Re: Uncle Joe
pretty much everything that ailed the world, miraculously disappeared in january 2021. just ask the internet.
Re: Uncle Joe
I know that is a big Trump lie and so do you. He claimed covid would magically "go away" after a few weeks. It didn't. Then the claim moved to after a few months. It didn't. Then the claim was that it was going to be summer that did it. It didn't. Then the claim was that it would go away after the election. It didn't. Now you regurgitate the same ignorant hoax logic applied to the inauguration. What's weird is that there is not a moment's bother about being wrong time after time after time.

Similar is a relative term and those numbers are similar enough for me.twocoach wrote: ↑Mon Sep 19, 2022 11:59 amThe daily average of deaths per day on Jan 21, 2021 (Biden's inauguration) was more than 3,000 deaths per day with more than 4,100 new deaths reported that particular day. You also cherry picked some dates there it appears.
January 2022 and January 2021 look "similar".

Re: Uncle Joe
4,000 dead in a day as compared to 22 in a day are "similar". Got it. Just say "I didn't check before I made a ridiculous claim based solely on my own personal assumptions and now it appears I was mistaken" and own it.BasketballJayhawk wrote: ↑Mon Sep 19, 2022 12:25 pmSimilar is a relative term and those numbers are similar enough for me.twocoach wrote: ↑Mon Sep 19, 2022 11:59 amThe daily average of deaths per day on Jan 21, 2021 (Biden's inauguration) was more than 3,000 deaths per day with more than 4,100 new deaths reported that particular day. Try January 2022 vs January 2021.

Re: Uncle Joe
Go to my Twitter feed (on the internet) and see that much of it is Republicans rightfully (in some cases) and wrongfully (in more cases) blaming all the ills in the world on Democrats. I can't access Twitter on my work computer but I can give you many examples (maybe a screen shot?) when I get home this evening.
Wouldn't it be nice if both Pubs and Dems could take accountability and work together to help try and resolve much of the shit that is going on in this country - and the world?

Re: Uncle Joe
7 day average daily deaths....
6/28/21 = 279
6/28/22 = 386
Hmmmm.... looks similar. Actually worse.
Peaks and valleys.
