I think college still makes sense.
If he's a top 30-40 guy, he could possibly play his way to being a star on a college team.
Get him on Ohio State.

Not for Bronny. His entire life is all about fun. Being at Duke or Kansas will be WAY more fun enjoyable and worthwile than g league or china.
Ah yes, more insight from inside the James residence.
Ugh, is illy positioning himself to be a James family insider now? His meltdown began when the board wouldn't collective anoint him the defacto NBA expert.
Illy can you confirm Lebron’s hair guy is the same guy Self used?

Why would China be more fun than playing at Kansas?
How dumb does that sound if you say it out loud to yourself?
Why would China/G League/Euro League help him get to the NBA better than 4 years under Bill Self? Hint: it wouldn't.
He doesn't need money. And NIL money will be plenty to keep his Lambo filled up with gas in Lawrence.

Strawman.
Strawman.
The illy trifecta.

Just wait til Bronny’s freshman year isn’t everything he hoped for, and he gets the brilliant idea to star in The Decision 2.0, a transfer portal special.

Bronny to China instead of college is idiotic.
Some of you would argue that dog shit smells good if I said it smelled bad.

Overseas makes a ton of sense for Bronny, and little sense for most other basketball recruits. It's pretty easy to see why.

Please explain why? Because I am not seeing it.
Is he so good he should go to China? Or so bad he needs LeBron to manipulate his draft stock? I can't keep up.

Some of you seem to not value the college experience very much. Which is strange for a bunch of KU grads.
Bronny has all the money he will ever need. You can't buy the college experience.
He can go to China anytime he wants.

Another strawman, but to respond to your first question: He just needs to hang out somewhere for a year and their plan for him is unscathed.
Unlike basically every other NBA prospect, Bronny doesn't actually need to be good enough to get drafted or signed on to an NBA team. It is outrageously unique.

I think players ranked in the 40s or 50s probably should spend 4 years in college for free and enjoy their athletic and student experience....
He isn't going to "trick" the NBA by going to China.

He can do that in college. Or he can just do nothing at all.
They can watch him in China too.

1.67 more strawman arguments. How do you even come up with some of this stuff?

Doing nothing does make some sense, I agree.
The reason China is different than college is because there is just more potential in college to get exposed. Way more pro prospects, way more rigid structure/scheduling/attendance requirements/etc. When a HS player doesn't like it overseas, they just come back to the states and it doesn't really affect their stock at all.

I think there'd be more eyeballs on him in college obviously.
But there's also the chance that he's good.
Cameron Thomas was ranked right around where he was and one year out of LSU was drafted by the Nets.
( of course, Bryce Thompson was ranked around/a bit better than Bronny and look where he is )
I don't agree that 'hiding' him in China will make all that much difference.

"Their plan" is probably for their son to have a happy and productive life doing things that he enjoys.
There likely isn't some master plan to trick the NBA into letting Bronny sit on a bench for 1 year before LeBron retires. That doesn't make sense for anyone involved.
