Come on you guys, looting a 7/11 is just as much a direct attack on the republic as bum rushing a bunch of senators counting votes.

Read the post above this by trad directed at me....

You're doing the exact same thing by acting like it was only a 7/11.

I didn't diminish severity of either imo.

Ok sure, of course burning a police station is different than stealing a big gulp.

Once again for the record, all condone all violence. (Unless it’s affirmatively commissioned between consenting opponents #wrestlemania)

But I’d go out and guess there were far more instances of police aggression against peaceful protestors that police committed without consequence, than there were instances of protestors attacking cops.

I don't understand why the two things need to be compared at all.

The violence at both rallies was bad. The people who broke the law, in both cases, should be punished. And neither one excuses the other...even if someone got away with something.

Fwiw I seem to encounter more magaheads trying to downplay the significance and severity of the Capitol riot, more so than I encounter any BLM types trying to downplay the violence associated with those protests.

BLM: we were mostly peaceful, and any violence or criminal acts are counter to what we stand for, and perps should face consequences

MAGA: we were mostly peaceful, but any violence or criminal acts are necessary to what we stand for and perps should not face consequences cuz the real crime was stealing the election…besides, whatabout the BLM violence?

Another huge difference is that protesters with BLM, etc. were protesting against/for something REAL. Systemic racism, police brutality, etc, etc, etc.

On the flip side, you had a bunch of MAGA idiots attacking our Capitol over a bunch of QAnon conspiracy theories. These SAME PEOPLE THINK TRUMP IS GOING TO BE REINSTATED IN AUGUST. Probably flat-earthers as well... #STOPTHESTEAL Clowns.

 Systemic racism is not real. Police brutality is a real issue. In either case, it does not justify burning down private businesses and murdering people.

The latter is a symptom of the former.

Those people who see racism in everything are people who just want to be victims their whole life as an excuse for never having success.

Notice that you didn't deny the latter...

Violence ≠ racism.

How about when the violence is committed disproportionately against particular races?

How about the folks who refuse to see racism in anything?

They are on the different sides of the same coin.

Racism does exist, but its' not systemic. Generally speaking, those who blame racism for their problems are people who want an excuse to fail.

Hey, I got a response from lobster! Woo!

And bro I’d offer example after example of how racism is systemic, but it seems your mind is made up

(Which, in itself, is a good example of systemic racism, how about that)

If something is holding you back in America, it's not racism. In other parts of the world, maybe.
