A major state honor has gone out to Christian Braun, one of two signees in KU basketball's class of 2019.

The Kansas Basketball Coaches Association named Braun as Mr. Kansas Basketball — the award for top player in the state — which was announced on May 1...

I still don't know much about him, but from videos I've seen, the dude seems like he can really play. Will sit on bench for a year or two, but think he could be a big player for KU in his junior and senior years.

is he the second coming of Lightfoot?

We gravitate towards eligibility hardcases. We love the challenge.

A more cynical view is that, of late, we have had to settle for the hard cases.

Boogie Ellis has been granted a release from his Duke schollie. Doesn't seem like Duke is back in play for RJ but it could affect RJ's decision with Memphis because Memphis is also recruiting Boogie and Boogie could make his decision soon unlike RJ who probably won't decide until June / July.

I'd agree with you if it wasn't Penny Hardaway and his already loaded recruiting class. Kids love him and seem to want to be a part of the big buzz right now. His shine will fade in a few years.

Or it won't, who knows. If there's a place where you can really get buy with guys only (and an average plan), it's Memphis.

Only player we need for what? We are still multiple players away from.being a contender.

Sorry I guess you have not heard the news. El Doke is coming back for utter dominance.

With my Man El Doke we going to be hard to beat. But the one thing we need is a PG that can get the ball down the floor and get it to my Man El Doke. Hence we need Dotson and the rest is just a supporting cast.

El Doke came back for one basic reason. To prove he can dominate at this level. I believe he can for sure and so we need Dotson. Besides Dotson was my fav new player last year and I want to see him for another year.

The other one would be Silvio. He deserves to suit up for us. I am all for it. But the NCAA needs to give him a break and with all the stuff going on they seem to nail anyone they can.

Maybe we should discuss the backcourt of Hampton and Grimes...Dotson has a slim chance of being drafted but greater than Grimes

Hampton adding Tech and talking Memphis doesn't make me feel like we will.see him as a Jayhawk
