Maybe their uk alum coach getting busted and fired had something to do with no conference wins this year.

If it means an easier road for us, then yes, absolutely it's a good thing.

Just hang the damn banner, nothing else matters.

THIS. I don't care who we have to play to get there.

There look to be three truly legit teams out there; Kansas, Baylor and Dayton and we have played and beaten both of the others. If we can just get a little healthier and stay that way, I like our potential in this field.

Best of all, I dont really feel like this KU team has a big weakness in potential matchups. There's no "I kinda hope we dont get this team in our bracket. Creighton's three point shooting right now makes me a little anxious but their defense would be crushed by Dok. I mainly dont want them because I have some big Creighton fan friends who I'd be a little bummed for if we knock them out.

Now watch them go and win the MVC Conference Tournament.
Just goes to show you what happens when you fire your coach for screwing coeds right after they achieve one of the biggest wins in program history.
You say that like you think Larry Brown's departure was entirely voluntary.

So in light of this, how concerned should we be about the injuries to our three best players? Seems like Dok, Dot, and MG are hurting right now. An injured Doke especially makes me worry about our championship prospects....

Wrap up the championship Wednesday night at home, and then rest them until opening weekend.

Don't sit 'em entirely, but give them plenty of bench-time. See if Braun can run the point.

Every team with championship potential obviously takes a hit if one of their three best players gets injured. But it's no more likely to happen to one of our best players than it is to any other one of the contenders so I am not worried about it at all.

TCU did just upset Baylor and actually if they won their last games, which would mean knocking odd no. 2 and no. 1, they might be a longshot ncaa team.

Fortunately
A. TCU is a bit guard heavy. Samuel is their lone 13 mpg+ big.
B. We are Kansas

This wouldn’t even be an issue if DeSousa was given a reasonable punishment. McCormack will have to play smart.

I have a hard time seeing us losing at home, on Senior Night, with a trophy on the line.

Difference being, and this could just be because I obviously follow KU closer than all the other teams, but KU's 3 best players are known to be dinged up. This late in the year, every player is playing through some soreness and bruises. I'd be curious to know how many other teams have 2 starters in a boot and a 3rd still not fully practicing.

Right, two coach post doesn’t make a lot of sense in the context of what we know. We already know some of our guys are banged up and we now have a huge cushion when it comes to seeding and a regular season crown.

There’s no reason to push anything and we do know that the biggest thing we have to lose is health. Take care of the guys that are hobbling.

So we just thinking get our injured players a few reps over the next couple games and try to win TCU for sure and coast until the tourney?

Based on Self's pressers, it sounds like he thinks they'll play and recover from their injuries because they're 21 year olds.

I dunno what the right answer is, but if you have two guys with ankle/foot injuries and a guy with a hip issue, 3 games in 3 days sounds like the worst thing possible for them.

I'd play them against TCU and TTU if they're ready to go, and then re-evaluate from there.

Dok was completely ineffective with a bad ankle, and Dot looked a step slower against Baylor and OSU so we gotta make sure they're both 100%.

Garrett is gonna adjust his treatment, so I hope they get that right.
