Wrap up the championship Wednesday night at home, and then rest them until opening weekend.
Don't sit 'em entirely, but give them plenty of bench-time. See if Braun can run the point.
Zero chance that happens. Self doesnt rest guys like that. No one really does in college hoops.

Self probably won't to it to the extent some of us want but I bet he does manage minutes on the side of caution when it comes to Dok and Dotson.

My perception is that it’s Marcus and Dok that are ailing, while Dotson is nicked up but close to full health.

I mean, he already did that in both Oklahoma State games. Lowest healthy minutes that Dotson, Udoka and Garrett have played it seemed.
TCU is not very good. Yeah, their little 3-2 run over the last 5 is cute, but they lost 6 in a row before that.
I imagine Dotson, Garrett and Dok play around 25 minutes. Dotson getting the most minutes as he's the healthier of the 3.
McCormack, Moss, Braun, Enaruna and Ochai play a ton. I get that there is no ball handler out there, but Self can still play these guys with the main guys for the majority of the game.

To my point that every team is dealing with injuries of some sort at this point, Baylor with no Vital or Clark tonight. Sounds like Vital is just a maintenance thing (cough Dok cough).

Resting players just became more difficult.

Higgins locked that one up for Baylor with the Ramsey foul and phantom timeout. That said, Beard had 3 timeouts in his back pocket in regulation and didn’t use them. Yuck.

Big 12 gonna finish with only two teams with winning conference records? No one wants to finish in third place.

I agree he should have used one or two at some point during the late minutes, but I agree with not using one when they turned it over with 11 seconds left. On a break, you have to assume your best playmaker won't flat out pass it directly to a defender. That dribble hand off with Ramsey/Moretti on the last 3 of the game was like a 12 yr old playing 2k and just heaving random 3s with no plan. Not many plays are easier to guard than 2 players running down the court in the same spot then just stopping and doing a hand off.

Yeah, they had the advantage there because they had Baylor on their heeks, if you take a timeout then neither team has an advantage.
There was also the poorly executed play that resulted in a shot clock violation, not sure if it was in regulation or OT, but it was bad.

kinda funny how many turnovers there were, by both teams, in the closing minutes
props to baylor for taking care of business when short-handed

Regulation. Got bailed out when Baylor slipped on their possession and got called for a travel. But yea, when it's your last possession and you see your team has no plan with 10 seconds left, how do you not call a TO? Roy is the only coach I could see doing that.
And since I mentioned Baylor slipping, what are the chances those towel boys are ever working again in future years. Players were constantly slipping and sliding all over the Baylor side during the second half. Must have phoned it in knowing it was their last game too.

I counted either 5 TO's in 5 possessions (maybe 6) at the end of regulation between the two teams. Gross.
