It’s almost as if ANTIFA or some other globalist-backed organization sent in paid agitators for some unknown reason.Grandma wrote: ↑Sat May 30, 2020 10:39 am Interesting. Some unanswered questions of course but still interesting.

All depends on who you choose to believe. I'm not sure who I believe but am going to share what a friend of mine posted today.....HouseDivided wrote: ↑Sat May 30, 2020 11:07 amIt’s almost as if ANTIFA or some other globalist-backed organization sent in paid agitators for some unknown reason.Grandma wrote: ↑Sat May 30, 2020 10:39 am Interesting. Gee, I went to grad school in Nebraska with someone who'd been an infiltrator during the Vietnam protests--while being a cop. But I'm sure that DC and Psych would not have believed him.Sparko wrote: ↑Sat May 30, 2020 12:41 pm During the Vietnam era protests, they were made worse by infiltrators working on de-legitimizing the message. The same is true here. In fact, it makes protests themselves vulnerable to any wack-job Nazi intent on violence. The persistence in Minneapolis is because the act was incredibly heinous. We didn't fix this after having several police lynchings over the past several decades. Robert Frost said it best:
So when at times the mob is swayed
To carry praise or blame too far,
We may choose something like a star
To stay our minds on and be staid
I'm guessing that you've never spoken with a racist cop, because you'd know that is such bullshit. I have talked with a racist cop who had already killed an unarmed black guy that he mistook for a suspect, a guy on the job as a plumber. So, that cop had to quit direct police work for a few years, but went back to it eventually. Remembering him talking about some rather successful, well known black musicians as "Still the same thieving ni##ers," I'm guessing that had he killed some other black person, you would blame all of humanity rather than him.DCHawk1 wrote: ↑Fri May 29, 2020 6:05 pmI dunno.TraditionKU wrote: ↑Fri May 29, 2020 5:38 pmi don’t think they’re as different as you’re suggesting
The idea that George Floyd and Eric Garner were directly killed by racism is highly unlikely. And pursuing that as the principal cause of their deaths would be a disservice to their memories and to those who might suffer a similar fate in the future, without intervention. Indirectly, they were victims of race because of the circumstances of their lives that are derived from racial matters. But directly, they were victims of poor/bad/malicious policing. And THAT can be addressed a great deal more easily than the entire human condition.
