Meh. The Groveses weren't a big concern in the games we played full strength against them--our fanbase made way too much out of them from a game where we had to play CB at the 5.

Now, our inability to keep quick guys like Harkless and Goldwire out of the lane has been an issue all season.

Yeah we have some fraudulent quad 1 wins. This was the weakest schedule we've played in years, but it looks like it was murderers row based on quads.

True. CBS has us as the #2 SOS for the entirety of the season. But non-con weaker than usually is. Something in the 70s.

And let's face it, the Big12 is overrated. ISU won some games they probably shouldn't have won in their non-con, hell, even cellar dwellar WVU had a good non-con, won most of their games, beat Uconn...But it's pretty clear those aren't elite teams.

Now, how overrrated, is the question, I think we still might be the best conference, just not as good as we look to a computer.

I know Kenpom isn't the end all predictor but it's pretty good ( Vegas lines are curiously similar to Kenpom night in, night out ) and that has us with the 2nd toughest SOS.

Now to peg it exactly 2nd, no, but it's certainly has been one of the hardest 25 schedules in the country.

I'm not saying it's WAY off, but it's off. And, with something like Kenpom, an individual outlier isn't uncommon. You can probably point to 9 other teams where it seems like it works, but there might be the 5-10 percent that are off by an appreciable amount, and I think we're in that.

Again, the Big 12 is probably the toughest conference, I'm just saying the gap between 1 and 2 doesn't seem like it is as large as the computers say it is...and that's obvious with teams like ISU.
