edit: juliette lewis looks rough. i know that’s kinda part of her character, but wow
Unfortunately, anyone who has been around real addicts with severe mental health issues would know she is absolutely nailing it.

I get such Heath Ledger/Joker vibes from the character.

yup

agree on both points

Vikings Valhalla on Netflix if you are into that. Just watched the first episode and will be finishing it this week for sure. Just what I was in the mood for.

Having added Showtime for Yellowjackets, we’re now buzzing through other Showtime shows before we cancel.

Currently on Billions. It is good, but Succession is so much better.

Finished 1883. Very good.

It's a 1 season thing. Basically a 10hr movie. Don't need to watch Yellowstone to understand.

Four sixes ranch coming out soon too right?

Anyway, I have heard Sheridan is an asshole. But, he's making good TV right now.

Wish 1883 had a second season.

Yellowstone is several steps below 1883, imo

I believe he's also behind the coming KC mob show.

Soon sort of. Next couple years I think.

So 1883 doesn't have a second season...which imo is a good thing because it would have been impossible to live up to season 1. Especially with the ending over those last few episodes.

BUT there are rumors of a 1900s year show that picks up a few decades later. I would assume it would maybe be about the little brother?

1883 is a unqiue show. He wants us to know how the Dutton family ranch came to be. And why.

I thought I read they scrapped the "sequel" to 1883...hope your information is better than mine.

Thought the Crow leaders comment about 7 generations was interesting. foreshadowing into how the present day Duttons save the ranch?

I like that it's about a main character and is using one of the real actors. It will definitely feel more special in that regard. As long as they don't shit the bed.

i wasn’t ever sold on Mcgregor’s Obi Wan, but i’m sure i’m jaded from the multi-level failure of episode’s 1-3

He might have been one of the only things I liked in those movies, other than some of the action/fight scenes.

I thought Episode III was absolutely terrific, in a height-of-camp sort of way.

From my point of view the Jedi are evil!

I did not really enjoy it. It is objectively pretty good. Good action, great score, well-acted, etc.

But god damn, it’s just joyless. Taking the whole “dark and gritty” mandate to the ends of the fucking earth.
