We are on his list of 4 finalists that he released a few days ago, almost certainly as a back up in case Martin stays in the draft. He is one of the Top 5 transfers on the season but most expected him to stay in the draft. Now he has withdrawn from the draft and has Kentucky (highly unlikely as they already have about 10 PGs), Kansas, Louisville and Texas as his possible transfer destinations.BasketballJayhawk wrote: ↑Tue Jul 06, 2021 11:18 amGood lord it's hard to keep up...twocoach wrote: ↑Tue Jul 06, 2021 11:16 amOr Marcus Carr from MinnesotaBasketballJayhawk wrote: ↑Tue Jul 06, 2021 11:15 am

Has he officially transferred to us too?
Yeah.
Starters:BasketballJayhawk wrote: ↑Tue Jul 06, 2021 11:25 am Can someone type in our current roster next year that includes our draft withdrawals and doesn't include Remy...?

When Martin's team needed him to be a facilitator his sophomore season, he was 2nd in the PAC 12 in assists per game and when his team needed him to be a scorer his senior season, he was 1st in the PAC 12 in points per game. He can do whatever the coaches need him to do. Carr seems to be the same way, averaging 6.5 assists per game 2 years ago and 19 points per game last season.ousdahl wrote: ↑Tue Jul 06, 2021 11:27 amYeah.
Without knowing that much about either game, I had the “true pg” thought as well.
Martin iirc is more a score first lead guard, than a facilitator. Same with Yes, yes?
So a floor general type could be nice, especially if we can upgrade from Dajuan and find one who can score too
Holy shit. (And thanks for typing that up)UnholyLivingDead wrote: ↑Tue Jul 06, 2021 11:29 amBobby PettifordBasketballJayhawk wrote: ↑Tue Jul 06, 2021 11:25 am Can someone type in our current roster next year that includes our draft withdrawals and doesn't include Remy...?

I guess I could have taken out the names of the walk-ons, haha. Teahan, McCarthy, White, and Jankovich aren't exactly in the conversation for minutes.BasketballJayhawk wrote: ↑Tue Jul 06, 2021 11:36 amHoly shit. or coaching aspirations?BasketballJayhawk wrote: ↑Tue Jul 06, 2021 11:14 amBut he's almost 30. there’s more to “development“ than playing time
I believe his aspirations are entrepreneurial. He runs a non-profit. Good interview with him on kusports YouTube channel.TraditionKU wrote: ↑Tue Jul 06, 2021 11:40 amor coaching aspirations?BasketballJayhawk wrote: ↑Tue Jul 06, 2021 11:14 amBut he's almost 30.
